presentation of the ZX-6R 636 2006

the greens are the first to present their new Supersport racer for 2005. The ZX-6R has been extensively reworked both aesthetically and mechanically. Just as its big sister - the 10-R - won the 2004 Masterbike, the little one had to defend its new-found family honor even more.
The distinctive design of the previous 6-R has evolved into a smoother, more elegant machine. Profiled for greater aerodynamic efficiency, the fairing visually refines the bike, with the hoof extending below the footpegs, closely hugging the rear tire - just like on a Ducati 999. The headlamps are more tapered, giving it a more sympathetic look, the forced-air intake is also slightly redesigned, the turn signals are integrated, the tank is revised and the rear end copied from the 1000. As a result, we find the 10-R 's very pleasant rear end, with the added bonus of an under-seat exhaust. kawasaki has taken the same approach as everyone else, and this allows the eye to delight in the new swingarm, worthy of a MotoGP machine. the 636 is distinguished from the RR by its black-painted hoof, larger rear brake disc, and no doubt by other small details that Kawa will be announcing shortly.
On the engine side, things have also changed quite a bit. A new fuel system with 2 injectors per cylinder feeds a mill that benefits from new pistons, cylinders, cylinder head and camshafts. The engine also boasts larger exhaust valves, a reinforced and rebalanced crankshaft, a revised oil pump, an improved gearbox and, last but not least, much more power.
To cope with all this, the chassis doesn't just sport the black paint so typical of competition machines. In addition to the particularly strong new swingarm, the aluminum frame structure has been modified and the chassis features a shorter wheelbase. The rider's position has been significantly revised to bring the rider closer to the steering. And for added liveliness, new rims (certainly lighter) and petal brake discs.
Certainly more beautiful than its predecessor, and certainly more efficient, the 2005 version of the ZX-6R intends to continue on the path traced by the astonishing ZX-10R: to restore Kawasaki's credentials on the altar of sport.

on this Wednesday, October 20, we've just learned the official figures released by Kawasaki. Let's start with the most impressive: the 636 Ninja produces 130 horsepower at 14,000 rpm. A truly impressive figure for a 600 Sport. In dynamic mode, fuelled by forced air intake, the block develops no less than 136 hp. Torque rises to 7.2 mkg at 500 rpm (11,500 rpm). The RR version, with its more modest but, above all, more regulation cubic capacity, delivers 123 hp, and 6 more in dynamic terms. Surprisingly, the little green one hasn't gained in weight; rather the opposite, as it now weighs 164 kg. that's 3 more than the old model, but still very light.

KAWASAKI 600 ZX-6RRRemember the first 636, the one that arrived in 2002? One of the best 600 sports cars, and one of the very few that didn't fall into the trap of exclusivity. High-performance, but also pleasant and comfortable, far from the radicalism that is the basis of today's sports cars.
Well, the new ZX-6R 636 tries to recapture some of this spirit, this notion of user-friendliness. If this is evident from its softer, more fluid but still muscular lines, a handhold confirms this friendliness. The seat is high but accessible, and cosier than usual; the riding position is sporty but less exclusive; and the suspension is firm and rigorous, but does its utmost to take it easy on you - the Ninja is even more thirsty for time, but now it's busy pleasing its rider both on and off the track. A fine effort that the engine has also been able to develop.

This block, the only one in the category to exceed 600 cc (there's the RR for competition), remains faithful to Kawa traditions. Supple and pleasant, it responds right from low revs, thanks in part to the valve housed in the exhaust. Of course, it doesn't have the monstrous boot of a ZX-10R, but it's very appreciable when you're cruising along without looking for a thrill, or when you're negotiating a tight bend with the rev counter tucked away at the bottom. The dashboard is still the same. It's high-tech, stylish, complete... you name it, but when it comes to reading engine revs, hang on. And even more so when you push the boiler past the 10,000 rpm mark. The ZX-6R takes a deep breath up to 12,000rpm, then unleashes the hostilities. The 4-cylinder yowls angrily as the engine revs up. No longer a laughing matter, the mill gets nasty and unleashes its 130 hp for better or worse. It's now up to the driver to demonstrate his know-how, and that's all he has to worry about. The smoothness of the controls and gearbox have already put a smile on his face; the ease of handling and efficiency of the front axle have given him confidence; the clutch anti-dribble, remarkable braking and overall stability allow him to let loose between the vibrators. Perhaps the brakes could be a little more progressive, but for the time being, the mill takes to the road at 16,000 rpm. A very good extension and performance to match.

not far off the mark for the new ZX-6R. For road use, it may be criticized for its low bubble and lack of under-seat storage. In all other respects, this evolution can be summed up in a single word: improvement. High-performance, remarkably well-balanced, more welcoming, more elegant, the 600 Ninja could well become the scarecrow of the category.

La moto qui tue
French Ninja Model 2005
I've owned a 636 for a while now and I'm used to riding a vtr every day, so I've ended up with a 50 with a gearbox between my legs, so much so that I have to hold it back when cornering, as it's much easier to handle and nervous, which is more than anything else on my tractor Rating : 5/5
French Ptimotard Model 2005
I bought this bike a few months ago and I'm absolutely satisfied with it. I'd like to say that I don't agree with the people who advise beginners against this bike. I've gone from a marshmallow-soft 50cc to the 636, which is pure madness if you ride it right (with forced air intake, Akrapovic cartridge, KN air filter, in klair: pumped up to 140). And I can assure all beginners that even inflated to 140hp for 164kg, it's easily accessible to beginners. Big V to all! Rating : 5/5
French Tiger Model 2005
I got my Zx6 R LE 06/2006 after having it engraved and then having the 2 tires replaced by pilot power 2 CT, the front of which was modified by 120/70zr17 ( a treat at an angle .... it doesn't surprise, it simply warns! ) the rear mudguard and indicators were replaced by a carbon protection + diode indicators as well as the front indicators which are now white and the front bubble to be replaced by a sport bubble imperatively otherwise it's not visible
For the end, I unleashed the beauty (136 hp, a bomb from 8,000 to 16,000 rpm) and with its magnability, it's a pure marvel
A very good compromise!!!!!
For stinters, avia hose and the rear end lifts itself like a delicate breeze
For those who've never tried it before (beginners excluded), go for it and thank you Kawa....

French chris Model 2005
nothing to complain about: hang on, it's a beast. from 8000rpm it becomes monstrous plus it looks great. i know because i just bought the 636 model 2006 Rating : 5/5
French Foody Model 2005
Superb when you see it, you immediately feel that it has power, torque and breathtaking acceleration. Its top speed is more than enough to keep up with the big BMWs and Mercedes. Rating : 5/5
i finally received it a week ago and I'm very pleased and surprised by the power. Other than that, nothing to say, it's perfect (I'm from Reunion Island)@+ Rating : 5/5
French kawa Model 2005
this motorcycle is superb, I can't wait to get my driving licence so I can afford it, I hope it's easy to handle! Rating : 5/5
French stilnox FX Model 2005
i find that between the 2004 and 2005 models there's been a radical change in style, and it's all the more obvious when the 2 bikes are side by side. The 2004 is much more street and insistent in its lines, while the 2005 is more tilted at the front and more racing...for my part, it was the rear end that tickled me the most, but in real life, it's more than enough...so I'm hesitating...I'll buy the Zx10r! Rating : 5/5
French jean pierr Model 2005
jolie jai bien envie de me laisser tenter!! quitte a bouffer l'essence autant faire avec un machine moin lourd que mon cb 1300 doit pas avoir d'âge limite pour ce genre de chose??appel de phares!! Rating : 5/5
French white powe Model 2005
all that needs to be changed is the muffler, mud flap and rear indicators, but other than that, you shouldn't touch anything, because she's gorgeous all over. Rating : 5/5
French lololemago Model 2005
The new zxr 636 is a pure marvel. I was able to admire it from every angle, and the finish is exceptional, as is the equipment. Apart from the rear hull, it's completely different from the 10R... I've signed the order form! Rating : 5/5
French siroz91 Model 2005
i have a zx 6r 636 from 2005 and i can tell you it's great more powerful still comfortable but not to be left in the hands of beginners Rating : 5/5
French R@foo Model 2005
i don't like his ass that much, I'd rather have the old z1000 style like that on the street (but there aren't many 6.36 street bikes around where I live) Rating : 5/5
French pellou le Model 2005
Tres belle moto mais le mieux c'est enlever les carénages avant et de mettre un guidon cross et une belle plaque phare!!! It gives it an absolutely sublime roadster style!!!! Rating : 5/5
French ecousszz Model 2005
i find this zx6r very appealing, it's my baby, the pots under the seat are to increase the aerodynamics of the machine, it's the most aerodynamic of the ninjas, it's better equipped than all its competitors, finned discs, fork with diamond treatment, engine with double injectors, oval intake ducts, anti-dribble clutch etc..., of course, there will be two models, the zx6r 636 with three colors and the zx6rr 600 cc, the power is nothing like what we've seen before, kawa has decided to show what they can do in terms of motorization and you won't be disappointed, especially as it's based on the zx10r, its competitors are now light years away from this bomb. Rating : 5/5
French laurent Model 2005
moi jai la 2003 elle va super bien elle et confortable et agréable a rouler. la 2005 et tro tro belle en gris.félicitation Rating : 5/5
French Gaz ! Model 2005
Very nice bike, having a 636 '02, I can't help but notice the huge gap that kawa has made on its little supersport in just a few years. For my part, I'm going to place an order for this little jewel, and I've chosen the metal gray color, which is very sober and easy to ride Rating : 5/5
French condor Model 2005
hi, i'm from belgium, can you guys tell me the price and when it will be available?? mecri d'avance, le condor Rating : 5/5
French lolo Model 2005
personally, I think it`s superb, especially the metal grey and the swingarm... after the pot under the seat, it`s a matter of taste! It`s a shame that the rear indicators aren`t integrated like the front ones and a small seat cover would have crowned this beautiful frame... Rating : 5/5
French laverdaman Model 2005
yeah, I thought the old one was much nicer, especially the chassis... although the pot under the seat isn't exactly beautiful... nothing will replace the high oval side pots for me... without that too much plastic on this bike in my opinion Rating : 5/5
French dujardin Model 2005
salut.possédant la version 2004 ( hyper satisfait ). au moins elle avait sa propre identitée. pour la 2005 une pure copie de la 10 ,quelle dommage... by et bonne route Rating : 5/5
French kawasaki Model 2005
It looks more powerful than the 2003 version Its aesthetics appeal to me Rating : 5/5
French kris Model 2005
Apart from the ass, which will have to be modified, I think it's superb! Plus, there's no need to go to the expense of fitting it with wave discs and all the rest, since it's already got everything :D I've decided to sell my 2004 Rating : 5/5
French Flint Model 2005
It's a very nice machine, the potty under the seat is nice and practical (traffic jams) but it eats up the trunk, which is a shame because carrying a backpack every day isn't great. It's also a shame that the photo gallery doesn't work properly! Flint marseille Rating : 5/5
French xav ladera Model 2005
i'm sorry, but I can't say it's a real success. I'm expecting something better, more character and not a copy of the 10r. Finally, I hope to see more at the show Rating : 5/5
French fabio Model 2005
It's a bit of a throwback to the 2004 model. On the other hand, is the pot under the seat necessary (power - torque)????? Personally, I'm waiting to see it in real life. Rating : 5/5
French R@foo Model 2005
pff again these pots under the saddle super ugly I find it frankly domage Rating : 5/5
French Gaaaz Model 2005
I'm the seconduuu lalalala! No shit, this 6R is awesome, a real little sister for the 10R. Kawa is back to the 600, so not a 636?! Yet on the photos!? In short, I can't wait for my top :o) Rating : 5/5
French Lounch Model 2005
I'm the first here, hehehe! No kidding, she's beautiful, I can't wait to see her in person. Rating : 5/5
