presentation of the 600 GSX-R 2006

following in the wake of its destroyer, the Suzuki armada continues its offensive with its new fighter: the 2006 GSX-R 600. Taking its stylistic inspiration from the 1000, the little GSX-R takes these futuristic features even further, to create a machine that's even more of a "fast interceptor", even faster, even more time-hungry. With its stretched air intakes, multi-ventilated fairing and tapered rear end, it looks like a GEX 1000 breaking the sound barrier, its profile distorted by speed. With its rims painted in the dominant color, the Suz provides the essential tuning touch to get noticed. Technicians will be more occupied with the rear of the machine. First and foremost, the swingarm: a huge piece of equipment that seems designed to withstand the onslaught of 200 drunks. There won't be as many to deal with with the distiller, which should nevertheless develop around 130 hp. This is now the threshold imposed by the recent ZX-636 R, and the new R6 will certainly confirm (or explode) it. Just behind the rider's boot, we discover a short exhaust system even more unusual than that of the big sister. Mass centring is a real obsession for the manufacturer, who still refuses to use a pot under the seat. For Suzuki, efficiency comes before fashion.

what's new in the engine? Suz is still keeping the mystery under wraps, leaving only this design to let the imagination run wild. Thoughts of Mondial Supersport come to mind when we discover the new frame profile, the airbox that eats into the tank like on the R1 or the MV-Agusta F4 1000 Tamburini (the airbox is going to be pretty well stuffed), the inverted fork with radial calipers (impossible to do without them today), that ground-to-ground missile profile... The minimum weight of 161 kg, combined with power almost equal to that of a 750, and reinforced by uncompromising aerodynamics (as on the 1000, the indicators are integrated into the mirrors and rear shell), should take the GSX-R 600 on an uncompromising hunt for rivals. It's true that with an almost identical 750 sibling with plenty of watts, and a big sister who's been debunking everything in Endurance and Superbike, the GSX-R 600 can be proud of itself.

happy owner of a gex 600 k6 since august 2014, nothing to say, it's a real little bomb, it's magnificent in glossy matte black. Rating : 5/5

I've had her for 1 month now, and she's clocked up 1,800 km and nothing but happiness, nothing to do with my Hornet, which was also a 600. What's more, I fitted an Akra muffler and she really looks like hell, and from a performance point of view she's a real bomb, with incredible roadholding and very good handling. Rating : 5/5

Hello biker friends :)

i personally have a Hyosung Comet 650, but I've been a GEX fan for years, and I was able to try out this new GSX-R 600 K6 for a weekend. Despite weather conditions that weren't always great, I was able to cover some 500 km at the controls of this fabulous machine. I literally fell in love with it, it's an absolute joy to ride, the handling is exemplary, it's easy to corner, the braking is precise, and the engine is amazingly smooth (you can go under 35km/h in 6th gear and accelerate again without a clutch...) Plus the look is to die for, and personally I love the new pot. The only downside for my taste is the noise, because yes, it makes a magnificent sound, but the noise level at low revs is very high, and it's a bit unpleasant for long journeys. In short, a big bravo to suzuk, who have brought out the best super sport on the market today, in my opinion.

Well, I sold my 600gsxr 2000 at the end of October and ordered this one at the beginning of November. I'm waiting for it impatiently because I fell in love with it when I saw it in moto revue at the beginning of October before the show
As soon as I get it, I'll let you know what I think

Triple6 should be called triple buse
After an initial e-mail that was appalling in its banality and smugness, here he is taking the liberty of judging the technical evocations of this new bike as just another piece of this..
Has he taken the time to read the technical data sheet?
It seems more like a new bike. As for the aesthetics, I don't agree either
I also like the can-do attitude... Maybe he can send his suggestions to motoplanète, we'll judge on the spot. Just for the record, suz hasn't given in to the trend for pots under the seat, and I appreciate the anti-marketing spirit behind it.

As a motorcycle rider, I'm not an experienced one, and I respect the Highway Code as much as I can, but a motorcycle of this type will never be used to its full potential. So my first choice will be based on aesthetics, and on this point, I find it lags behind its competitors. Sherlock's comment is reserved for a minority of people, those who confuse road and track. The one-upmanship of figures blurs our free will and objectivity. A bon entendeur... Rating : 5/5

I had the opportunity to discover it at the World Two-Wheeler Show
Suzuki has really brought out a real racer, it's terrible, I can't find anything to complain about in terms of design
As for its performance, I'm not worried
I can't wait to sign the order form :)

this bike is simply superb. It demonstrates the determination of the brand's engineers to show, or at least hint at, the technological advances in its intrinsic qualities. The level of development of this machine is no longer within the grasp of the average biker. As the owner of the 2004 verssion, I still find myself a long way from the limits of this bike on the road, so I leave it to the professional riders to make their own criticisms of the on-track performance of this new 600. The Yamaha is just as magnificent, and it's easy to understand the difficulties and genius of the technicians involved in creating different products with the same specifications. On the other hand, the banality of triple6's comment leads me to suggest that he rename himself tripple 0 (to keep it polite) or that the webmaster sort out his e-mails Rating : 5/5

honestly i own the 2005 anniversary model and i find it ten times better than this one. i say nothing about the engine because on this side the suzuki is very strong. i find the rear abominable and if the pot is made this way for the center of gravity to be lowered well kil raise it and quickly nothing better than a good yoshimura very bright. and kom on the com of the dessu they really put a slap in the machine well quickly in 2 years to see if they became reasonable again Rating : 5/5
French Model 2006
Nothing innovative about this cult model! Faced with a completely new and aggressive R6, SUZUKI would be better off transforming the model rather than adding a few parts here and there that don't quite fit together! I find that the new GSXR lacks fluidity in design. It's just been slapped in the face for at least 2 years. Can do better... Rating : 5/5
