presentation of the 1400 ZZR Performance Sport 2018
as the years go by, the Kawasaki ZZR 1400 Performance Sport Edition is enriched with some nice peripherals. Desirable? More and more so. Akrapovic and Öhlins were already among the respectable guests at the ball. Recently, Brembo took to the track and set the pace for braking. Following the example of the ZX-10R, no less than M50 monobloc calipers slow down this generous cruiser. A radial master cylinder from the same manufacturer further enhances feel and comfort.
Leaking power, the ZZR 1400 benefits from ECU programming and a revised exhaust system in 2016 to unleash its 200 horsepower while complying with Euro 4 standards. It loses a little torque, but who cares when there's still 16 mkg under the throttle? The dashboard features a day/night mode and a high-visibility dial.
kawasaki's top-of-the-line interstellar vessel is this Performance Sport version of the ZZR 1400. For the European market, it comes standard with an Öhlins TTX39 rear shock absorber and Akrapovic titanium mufflers.
thanks to its patented twin-tube design, the Öhlins TTX rear shock, with its remote preload adjuster, allows full adjustment of the bike's damping parameters.
with 22 possible settings for compression and rebound damping, in addition to the high-end components used in its manufacture, thetTX rear shock absorber equipping the ZZR 1400 Performance Sport is the culmination of the collaboration between these two performance-oriented companies. Both ride comfort and handling are greatly enhanced.
in addition to this shock absorber, the ZZR 1400 Performance Sport comes as standard with a pair of Akrapovic titanium mufflers, which reduce weight and add a touch of sportiness. Riding pleasure is further enhanced by standard features such as a high bubble and seat cover.
yasushi Kawakami, Managing Director of Kawasaki Motors Europe, comments:"The ZZR 1400 is naturally the queen of our sportivo-GT models. With so many fans of this model and so many riders who dream of this bike, the new ZZR 1400 Performance Sport equipped with its Öhlins TTX rear shock absorber will bring together even more enthusiasts of ultimate performance in terms of power, equipment and handling."

In forty years, I've ridden a lot of motorcycles of all types, and this one is the apotheosis, the top of everything..
Perfection doesn't exist, so we'll have to try to find a flaw in it..... it heats up a lot.... normal you'll tell me, a 1400 cc streamlined....so rather a disadvantage.
Pure pleasure, for connoisseurs who know how to keep a cool head... Rating : 5/5 Respond to GTSport4ever
Thanks to kawasaki for not losing sight of the pleasure of old bikers with too many assistances. Rating : 4/5 Respond to Alick
The ZZR 1400 Performance Sport is its worthy niece. It does everything even better than the old one. Incredible versatility! The only tiny minus for me is the riding position, which is a little too sporty for my taste in urban environments or at low speeds, especially in the bent legs. We're not getting any younger 😉. But the first time you pass a lane, the thrust makes you forget this little flaw. And the comfort and feeling of dominance provided by the big-torque elasticity ÃÂ-hlins Brembo Akrapovià " combo is hard to explain... a sure thing. This one, I'm not ready to part with! but it's the must-have brand and the bike that has given me the most satisfaction and pleasure from motorcycling. I've been riding since the age of 9 and was a motorcyclist with the Traffic Police for 39 years. I'm only adding this information so as not to get a big head but to tell you that I have an objective opinion; Long live KAWASAKI.

I am writing to you because I would like to buy this 1400 ZZR.
I've made 2 offers, but I don't know which one to choose yet.
The 2 models are new and at the same price, but not from the same year.
the first one:
1400 zzr performance pack year 2017
The second one:
1400 zzr pack performance sport year 1016.
For the same price, which one would you choose and why?
Many thanks in advance.

I just got off a green 2012 performance version and I'm switching to this new 2015 performance sport.L\ the rear shock absorber is a good plus, but what a shame that Kawasaki is being so petty on this top-of-the-range model. Indeed, compared to the classic performance version, you gain a quality rear shock absorber, BUT at the same time, and despite the price increase, you lose the "sport" accessories, i.e. the rear seat cover, the handleless hood, and even the side tank guards. With an additional 350â'¬ required for these accessories, which come as standard on the performance version, the price increase is starting to take its toll. The last straw for performance \"sport\", not great for Kawasaki's image, and not great for buyers who get ripped off on this \"detail\".
