Sport touring

kawasaki's top-of-the-line interstellar vessel is the Performance Sport version of the ZZR 1400. For the European market, it comes standard with an Öhlins TTX rear shock absorber and Akrapovic titanium mufflers.

Thanks to its patented twin-tube design, the Öhlins TTX rear shock, with its remote preload adjuster, allows full adjustment of the bike's damping parameters.

With 22 possible settings for compression and rebound damping, in addition to the high-end components used in its manufacture, the TTX rear shock on the ZZR1400 Performance Sport represents the culmination of the collaboration between these two companies dedicated to the cult of performance. Both ride comfort and handling are greatly enhanced.

In addition to the new shock absorber, the ZZR 1400 Performance Sport comes as standard with a pair of Akrapovic titanium mufflers, which reduce weight and add a touch of sportiness. Riding pleasure is further enhanced by standard features such as the high bubble and new seat cover.

From the saddle, the rider can admire the black meter backs and the "Flying K" between the dials.

Yasushi Kawakami, Managing Director of Kawasaki Motors Europe, comments:"The ZZR1400 is naturally the queen of our sportivo-GT models. With so many fans of this model and so many riders who dream of this bike, the new ZZR1400 Performance Sport equipped with its Öhlins TTX rear shock absorber will bring together even more enthusiasts of ultimate performance in terms of power, equipment and handling."

French oooCHRISTOPHEooo Model 2019
Bought new in 2019, 3½ years I've owned it, when I was changing bikes every year. I'm 52, this mount is like a culmination for me. It's very endearing. 1441 cm³ can be scary, but once you get the hang of it, just enough time to adapt to its length, it's easy to ride, and after a few hundred kilometers, you can even play with it. I've just clocked up 18,000 km, over 10,000 km with one set of tires, the front having given up the ghost before the rear. In cruising mode, 5.5 l/100 km. In Duo mode, my wife even manages to doze off. ZZR, it's all happiness, except perhaps for the radars... Rating : 5/5

It's quite simply the must-have GT Sport and probably the last. I'm lucky enough to own a 2019 Performance Sport
In forty years, I've ridden a lot of motorcycles of all types, and this one is the apotheosis, the top of everything..
Perfection doesn't exist, so we'll have to try to find a flaw in it..... it heats up a lot.... normal you'll tell me, a 1400 cc streamlined....so rather a disadvantage.
Pure pleasure, for connoisseurs who know how to keep a cool head...

French Looky Model 2020
I reluctantly sold mine (2015 model) because 3 different dealers told me that the ZZR was going to be discontinued, too much pollution, blah blah blah (and therefore unsellable after January 2020), that "the factories had already stopped production", etc. And what do I see? And what do I see? A 2020 ZZR! Relieved, but also amazed that so many different people told me c....ries!!...... So, ok a ZZR 1400 in 2020, but authorized to run until when (considering the Co2 it emits) ??... Otherwise, as the headline says, it's by far the best bike I've ever owned (motorcyclist for 28 years). Rating : 5/5

The ZZR 1400 evolves while retaining its primitive genes.
Thanks to kawasaki for not losing sight of the pleasure of old bikers with too many assistances.

French Marc Model 2016
Really, really good! Since my Honda CBR 1100XX, (sold because I thought it was unreasonable and a licence trap), I've gone through a neo-retro (Ducati sport gt), a roadster (Yam) and a super-motard (KTM 990 SM). Each had its own charm, but I was nostalgic for my SuperBlackbird..
The ZZR 1400 Performance Sport is its worthy niece. It does everything even better than the old one. Incredible versatility! The only tiny minus for me is the riding position, which is a little too sporty for my taste in urban environments or at low speeds, especially in the bent legs. We're not getting any younger 😉. But the first time you pass a lane, the thrust makes you forget this little flaw. And the comfort and feeling of dominance provided by the big-torque elasticity ÃÂ-hlins Brembo Akrapovià " combo is hard to explain... a sure thing. This one, I'm not ready to part with!

Let me set the scene without being pretentious. I'm 61 years old, I've been lucky enough to own: ZZR1100 - ZX12R -ZZR 1400(2009) - HAYABUSA 1340 - YAMAHA Vmax 1700 - CBX 1000 and SUZUKI GT750. I've returned to my favorite brand, namely KAWASAKI. I am the proud owner of a zzr 1400 Performance/Sport 2017. May KAWASAKI forgive me for my
but it's the must-have brand and the bike that has given me the most satisfaction and pleasure from motorcycling. I've been riding since the age of 9 and was a motorcyclist with the Traffic Police for 39 years. I'm only adding this information so as not to get a big head but to tell you that I have an objective opinion; Long live KAWASAKI.

Hello,

I am writing to you because I would like to buy this 1400 ZZR.

I've made 2 offers, but I don't know which one to choose yet.

The 2 models are new and at the same price, but not from the same year.

the first one:
1400 zzr performance pack year 2017

The second one:
1400 zzr pack performance sport year 1016.

For the same price, which one would you choose and why?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi
------
I just got off a green 2012 performance version and I'm switching to this new 2015 performance sport.L\ the rear shock absorber is a good plus, but what a shame that Kawasaki is being so petty on this top-of-the-range model. Indeed, compared to the classic performance version, you gain a quality rear shock absorber, BUT at the same time, and despite the price increase, you lose the "sport" accessories, i.e. the rear seat cover, the handleless hood, and even the side tank guards. With an additional 350â'¬ required for these accessories, which come as standard on the performance version, the price increase is starting to take its toll. The last straw for performance \"sport\", not great for Kawasaki's image, and not great for buyers who get ripped off on this \"detail\".

i drive a 2010 zzr 14full; it's already quite accomplished; this new version will undoubtedly be better, with top-of-the-range rear suspension, which will further improve its sporty and long-distance performance; I'd probably be a buyer. Rating : 5/5
