presentation of the Versys-X 300 Urban 2020

The smallest Versys seems to fear neither the streets nor the roads. After a period of roadsters and sportbikes, the 300 cm3 clan is finally enlarged with this machine, along with the BMW G 310 GS and Suzuki 250 V-Strom. For the Kawasaki, the Urban version expresses its urban vocation to a greater extent.

between crossroads and fog, it offers the little extras that prove indispensable in everyday life. And it all starts with the 30-liter top-case, which is great for carrying your laptop, sneakers and lunchtime sandwich. Hand guards are good company, while a tank protector prevents scratches. Finally, the Urban pack includes a center stand, always much appreciated for greasing and other maintenance operations.
And if you're planning to ride off the beaten track, the 300 Versys-X is also available in an Adventure version.

French noel Model 2019
Hello, after a 3-year break from big-bore motorcycling and my 62nd birthday, which calls for a cautious return to motorcycling, I chose this new 2019 300 Versys Urban with a very reasonable weight. It's a very flexible engine (30 km/h in 6th gear and it starts off again gently but without clattering, at the limit you can easily start off in 2nd gear, 1st gear is there for a few meters), with a fuel consumption of 3.5 L to 4 liters when riding cool and "less cool".The front brake is very good, but the rear is just for show (a retarder); on the other hand, you rarely brake from the rear.....The turning radius is just right, so you don't hit the bumpers on a half-turn. The driving position is upright, and the little windscreen does its job well (I'm 1.75m tall), so there's no turbulence. The instrument panel is complete( for my taste)but it becomes impossible to read it when fitting a tank bag.I have a 25-litre GIVI with a quick-release fastener on the tank cap and once in the saddle you can't see the speedometer anymore!!!!Thanks for the radars. The top box is perfect, the hand protectors are effective but you have to dig into the options(!!)for the center stand because it's indispensable and very easy to stand on.The HIC is the seat, which has to be padded with peach cores, and boy is it hard. Fortunately, the rear shock absorber is top-notch, with easy-access adjustment (lug wrench). The mirrors are impeccable, the handlebars are not too wide and don't get in the way of cars or other traffic in town....I'm keeping this charming machine until 2020 and in June I'm going to opt for the 650 VERSYS (FOR THE TYPE I'LL SEE).I hope I've given you some information about this little Kawouette.Bonne route Rating : 5/5
