kTM presents a limited edition of the 950 Super Enduro R: 75 units named EREBERG Limited Edition. In honour of a famous rider working for the orange brand? No, Erzberg is a town in Austria where one of the toughest Enduro races is held every year: the ErzbergRodeo. Set in an open-cast mine, the course wears out competitors like no one's business. In short, it's the perfect place for machines like the Super Enduro R, especially as it's a winner.

The LC8 twin's 98 horsepower are best expressed through the Akrapovic exhaust system. There are adjustable footrests, carbon parts and Metzeler Enduro 3 tires specially designed for hard-core racing. A generous 250/255 mm suspension height, an ad hoc chassis, and fiery watts should make for one hell of an experience at the handlebars of this fearsome machine.

Kawasnikov Model 2006

Quite a frame. I don't have the leisure of owning one, but I had the pleasure of trying it out. First of all, the bike is very tall, even at 1.80 m, the step is high. Then there's the surprising 108hp. On pavement, it's almost as playful as its sister, the 950SM, but the braking is less radical, which is just as well. The riding position is very upright and relatively comfortable. In its element, the trail, it feels much lighter than expected, 185kg off-road being quite something. The suspension is surprisingly hard, until you get it off the ground, and that's not difficult. Then it shows its flexibility. Having so much power allows you to stay in the same gear and achieve indecent acceleration. With a minimalist luggage rack and a 20L fuel tank, this bike would be very close to perfection. From a non-competitive or everyday use point of view, it's more versatile than the 950SM. I can't imagine this machine being used in competition. The Super Enduro will certainly find a home in Quebec, where trails and forest roads are measured in hundreds of kilometers. The price has turned me off, but the path to acquisition is gradually being mapped out.
