As for the engine, the 450cc single-cylinder has also been overhauled by the engineers. Now producing an estimated 60 to 70 horsepower, it features a new cylinder head and new throttle bodies. The transmission has also been improved, as has the weight distribution, which has been fine-tuned by adjusting the airbox volume and battery placement.

The 2019 KTM 450 Rally Replica features an all-new tubular frame, tested and developed with factory riders to better tackle the obstacles presented by the increasingly demanding routes of recent Dakar rallies. This chassis promises improved agility with enhanced stability during braking, while maintaining the same straight-line stability that has made KTM rally machines famous.
A new swingarm, combined with a redesigned shock absorber and the 48mm WP XACT Pro cartridge fork, will improve traction during acceleration and rear-end stability.
The new fairing has been designed to reduce turbulence in the seated position and offer better visibility when standing. All navigation instrumentation is housed in a carbon fiber dashboard. A more comfortable seat, a redesigned fuel tank, and the new Akrapovi? exhaust also contribute to improved weight distribution.

Produced in a limited run of 75 units (all already reserved), the KTM 450 RALLY REPLICA is priced at €26,000 before tax. Riders competing in the Dakar Rally can, for a few extra euros, benefit from a maintenance and support service provided by the brand. But beware, spots are limited here as well...
