The Honda motorcycles 2021
What's changing in 2021
honda's CMX 1100 Rebel makes a comeback among large custom bikes. Its only real risk-taking for 2021. New models include a major facelift for the NC 750 X, slightly less for the CB 1000 R (and its Black Edition version), a more distinctive identity for the CBF 125 and a more powerful engine for the CB 125 R. Reserved for the Japanese market, the CBR 600 RR gets a much stronger electronic package and is closer to the CBR 1000 RR-R. The lightweight CRF L trail bike makes a comeback, this time as a 300.
The CB 300 R leaves the catalog. Some 800 VFRs remain in stock, as Honda finishes selling off 2017 stock.

There have been 10 recalls for 2021 models :
- CMX 1100 Rebel
At high altitude, if the throttle remains closed, the system fails to update atmospheric pressure, causing incorrect fuel adjustment and false misfire detection. This triggers a fail-safe action that shuts down one cylinder, reducing engine output, which can cause the engine to stall and potentially result in an accident.
- CBF 125
The internal plates of the headlight structure may resonate due to vibrations from the engine and steering. This can lead to bending at the base of the terminal. Metal wires can fatigue at the root of the terminals, leading to flickering or headlight failure, which can cause an accident.
- CRF 1100 L Africa Twin
Due to incorrect program settings in the electronic control module, the wheeling control function may malfunction. When the user operates the throttle to accelerate, the wheelie control function may be activated. This can affect throttle response, resulting in a lack of acceleration. This can cause the rider to fall, creating a risk of injury.
Production dates: July 8, 2021 - October 15, 2024
- GL 1800 GOLDWING Tour GL 1800 GOLDWING Tour DCT/Airbag GL 1800 GOLDWING DCT
The clamping bolt of the primary drive pinion is subject to fatigue failure due to excessive stress caused by bending forces. When this happens, the impulse rotor becomes dislodged, resulting in ignition signal failure and engine stalling while driving, or inability to start. This creates a risk of accident and injury to vehicle occupants.
- GL 1800 GOLDWING Tour GL 1800 GOLDWING Tour DCT/Airbag GL 1800 GOLDWING DCT
The fuel pump impeller may be defective, preventing the supply of fuel, which could lead to a power cut or engine stoppage. If this occurs while driving, it creates a risk of accident and injury.
Production dates:
- 14/11/2017 (CBR600RA/RR)
- 14/12/2016 (CBR1000RA/RR/S1/S2)
- 31/10/2017 (GL1800/BD/B/DA)
- CRF 1100 L Africa Twin CBR 1000 RR-R SP Fireblade GL 1800 GOLDWING Tour DCT/Airbag GL 1800 GOLDWING DCT CRF 1100 L Africa Twin Adventure Sports
The fuel injection system may malfunction, causing fuel injection and ignition to stop. The engine may stall while driving, creating a risk of accident. In the case of vehicles with dual-clutch transmissions, a malfunction in the fuel injection program may cause the clutch to disengage, resulting in a loss of power.
- GL 1800 GOLDWING Tour GL 1800 GOLDWING Tour DCT/Airbag GL 1800 GOLDWING DCT
Incorrect operation of the ignition timing control in the engine control unit can cause the engine to stop while driving, increasing the risk of an accident.
- CBR 1000 RR-R Fireblade CBR 1000 RR-R SP Fireblade
If you're driving in first gear and at high revs, the surface of the oil cooler's resin pipe may overheat due to radiant heat from the exhaust. This can cause the resin hose to crack and the engine oil to leak. This may cause a fire, or the oil may adhere to the rear tire, causing the rider to fall.
- CMX 1100 Rebel CBR 1000 RR-R Fireblade CBR 1000 RR-R SP Fireblade
Due to a manufacturing error, the motorcycle may have insufficient sealing performance due to a small overlap with the engine cooling system filler neck. If the vehicle is operated continuously under these conditions, high-temperature coolant may leak from the overflow tube, potentially leading to an accident.
- NC 750 X
Engine speed may drop momentarily when the gas pedal is opened rapidly from the fully closed position to the slightly open position. As a result, the engine may stall when starting or stopping, increasing the risk of an accident.
