There have been 10 recalls for 2020 models :
- Motorcycles recalled on Thursday, September 11, 2025 in 1 country : CRF 1100 L Africa Twin Adventure Sports
The horn does not sound and/or the headlight cannot be switched from low beam to high beam. The malfunction of these components can lead to an accident and injuries.
- Motorcycles recalled on Friday, May 9, 2025 in 6 countries : CBF 125
The internal plates of the headlight structure may resonate due to vibrations from the engine and steering. This can lead to bending at the base of the terminal. Metal wires can fatigue at the root of the terminals, leading to flickering or headlight failure, which can cause an accident.
- Motorcycles recalled on Friday, November 22, 2024 in 10 countries : GL 1800 GOLDWING Tour DCT/Airbag GL 1800 GOLDWING Tour GL 1800 GOLDWING DCT
The clamping bolt of the primary drive pinion is subject to fatigue failure due to excessive stress caused by bending forces. When this happens, the impulse rotor becomes dislodged, resulting in ignition signal failure and engine stalling while driving, or inability to start. This creates a risk of accident and injury to vehicle occupants.
- Motorcycles recalled on Friday, March 1, 2024 in 11 countries : GL 1800 GOLDWING Tour DCT/Airbag GL 1800 GOLDWING Tour GL 1800 GOLDWING DCT
The fuel pump impeller may be defective, preventing the supply of fuel, which could lead to a power cut or engine stoppage. If this occurs while driving, it creates a risk of accident and injury.
Production dates:
- 14/11/2017 (CBR600RA/RR)
- 14/12/2016 (CBR1000RA/RR/S1/S2)
- 31/10/2017 (GL1800/BD/B/DA)
- Motorcycles recalled on Friday, September 23, 2022 in 17 countries : CRF 1100 L Africa Twin CRF 1100 L Africa Twin Adventure Sports CBR 1000 RR-R SP Fireblade GL 1800 GOLDWING Tour DCT/Airbag GL 1800 GOLDWING DCT
The fuel injection system may malfunction, causing fuel injection and ignition to stop. The engine may stall while driving, creating a risk of accident. In the case of vehicles with dual-clutch transmissions, a malfunction in the fuel injection program may cause the clutch to disengage, resulting in a loss of power.
- Motorcycles recalled on Friday, August 19, 2022 in 4 countries : GL 1800 GOLDWING Tour DCT/Airbag GL 1800 GOLDWING Tour GL 1800 GOLDWING DCT
Incorrect operation of the ignition timing control in the engine control unit can cause the engine to stop while driving, increasing the risk of an accident.
- Motorcycles recalled on Friday, February 18, 2022 in 13 countries : CBR 1000 RR-R Fireblade CBR 1000 RR-R SP Fireblade
If you're driving in first gear and at high revs, the surface of the oil cooler's resin pipe may overheat due to radiant heat from the exhaust. This can cause the resin hose to crack and the engine oil to leak. This may cause a fire, or the oil may adhere to the rear tire, causing the rider to fall.
- Motorcycles recalled on Friday, September 24, 2021 in 15 countries : CBR 500 R CB 500 X CB 500 F
In the ABS modulator (anti-lock braking system), an excessive amount of grease has been applied to the O-ring of the reservoir piston due to poor management of the grease application equipment on the components. When used continuously under these conditions, foreign bodies adhere to the grease that has moved to the outlet valve and can get caught in the check valve during braking, causing inlet pressure leakage and increasing braking distance.
Production dates :
- CBR500RA - August 26, 2019 - December 20, 2019
- CB500FA - July 31, 2019 - December 15, 2019
- CB500XA - June 20, 2019 - January 17, 2020
- Motorcycles recalled on Friday, April 23, 2021 in 12 countries : CBR 1000 RR-R Fireblade CBR 1000 RR-R SP Fireblade
During the production assembly process, the left cushion connecting plate was installed with the inside and outside reversed, which may cause an excessive load to be applied to it. As a result, the plate could break, causing a sudden drop in ride height and leading to increased risk of an accident.
- Motorcycles recalled on Friday, March 26, 2021 in 4 countries : CRF 1100 L Africa Twin CRF 1100 L Africa Twin Adventure Sports
Excessive grease was applied to the O-ring of the reservoir piston in the ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) modulator. As a result, foreign matter may adhere to the grease and become pinched in the check valve during braking, causing input pressure leak and increasing the braking distance.
