presentation of the V5R 2020
The world of motorcycles is so vast that (very) small manufacturers can often only make a name for themselves by making a splash. MondialMoto is one of them, with a V5 engine to shake the palpitations of any tracker.
200 hp for its sports bike, the current power standard. But to get them out, a 5-cylinder V inspired by the RCV 211 would do the job. We'll find it embedded in a two-edged machine. The V5-S, with its already interesting technical specifications; and the V5-R version, more tempting and enriched with noble materials.
In this case, carbon. The small Italian brand wants to make a big impact by offering its superbike with carbon wheels and carbon FRAME - the fairing is also carbon, as on the S. That alone is quiet. Apart from Bimota on a few machines, Ducati with its latest Superleggera and BMW with the HP4 Race, there are hardly any production models with carbon as the backbone. Now let's hammer home the point. Although the R massacres the bank account by 8,000 euros more than the S, this still gives us an unbeatable price. Almost too good to be true.
all it takes to be among the first is a handsome down payment of 15,000 roros, and then wait until 2020 to pay the rest, to enjoy a hypersport machine withÖhlins, carbon, Brembo, high power and the only V5 engine in production - with titanium valves and connecting rods, 50 mm fuel injection, variable intake and cassette gearbox. A fantasy on two wheels that raises more unknowns than certainties. For the moment, the MondialMoto 1000 V5 S and R haven't even reached the prototype stage; they're just demonstrations for investors.
We don't believe in them... But we really want to believe in this bike, one of the most striking of the decade.
