presentation of the 1200 SPORT 2010
like the new Scrambler, this Morini 1200 Sport is based on the 9 1/2. But it's not just the fun dual-tone color scheme that sets it apart from the Italian manufacturer's youngest model. The narrower handlebars, footpeg position and seat invite the rider into a sportier riding position, without being extreme. Morini also follows the 2008 trend for white to color and highlight its trellis frame, on which the new hydroformed aluminum swingarm is anchored on one side, and the large 50 mm Marzocchi inverted fork on the other. Rear damping is handled by Paioli, braking by Brembo with 320 mm discs and 4-piston calipers, and 117 hp from the big 1187 cm3 twin-cylinder. Like the Scrambler, the Sport is equipped with side-mounted exhausts, a small windscreen, spoked wheels (in this case 17") and a side number plate. We can't really speak of new bikes, but of cousins to the 9 1/2, with a deliciously retro flavour, and a price tag that's a little too shaky.
