presentation of the 1100 QUOTA ES 1998

Compared to its predecessor, Guzzi's big trail bike has not only gained fuel injection and cm3, it has also become more user-friendly. A slight restyling has brought it up to date, while the seat has been lowered by a few centimetres. The 82 cm seat height remains substantial, but it's the weight that should make you cautious. Handling is very good, as is comfort. Aside from its quirky looks, the main attraction of this big cruiser is its unique powertrain. Like any self-respecting Guzzi, its engine is a V2, with cylinders on either side of the machine. Although torquey at low revs, you shouldn't expect breathtaking performance. The extension is limited, the inertia palpable, and the gearbox not a model of speed. The cardan shaft will convince you to adopt a supple ride, to the delight of your senses, because a Guzzi likes to enchant you with the dull thumps of its heart. And with a face like that, you're sure to get noticed.

French Model 1998
A little addition, after two years together.
No breakdowns, and it's always a great pleasure to get on the bike in the morning, more to go for a ride than to get to work, of course. However, for my passenger, the Arr part of the saddle is hard and sloping, a torture! Since the purchase I've added an Arr Shock Factory amorto (400â'¬ including postage) which is much better than the original Sachs, a pair of Michelin Ankee 3s (very good!), a pair of heated grips (Thecnoglobe 80â'¬) and a digital watch, two LED daytime running lights - all of which are included in the price

I've just bought one (A.M 2000-57000km). After only 600 km, half of which in the Morvan nature park. roadholding, braking, fishing, comfort, fuel consumption - in short, flawless. What a treat, I have a feeling we're going to be a couple in love for a very long time ;o) Rating : 5/5
