presentation of the STELVIO 1200 8V NTX 2012

the Stelvio made an immediate success of its entry into the large trail bike market. Gifted, efficient and with Mandello's trademark character, it could plant its cylinders in the wheels of the benchmark BMW R 1200 GS. Problem: the German's reputation is such that it's not easy to find a place in the sun. This could have discouraged Guzzi from erasing these few shortcomings... But no! The 1200 Stelvio improves after 2 years of service, and the NTX version logically benefits from the same improvements.

a small facelift gives it a more aggressive face, and while the features are essentially retained, it's virtually the entire fork head that has been changed. Only the headlights remain the same. New bubble, improved protection and, above all, a much improved range. The fuel tank has been increased by 14 liters to 32. You can easily exceed 400 km before refuelling. Among the few criticisms that could be levelled at the Italian, engine management deserved a little more roundness and availability. A new exhaust system and more efficient electronic management take care of that, offering a more pleasant, more usable twin. It loses a few horsepower and a pinch of mkg, but that's nothing to worry about, as the maximum values are obtained earlier. The chassis, already sound and pleasant, benefits from new front and rear suspension springs and lighter brake discs.
The 1200 NTX gains new luggage, a redesigned dashboard with improved fuel gauge readout, an ATC torque limiter (a kind of traction control), and 2 kg less weight. Only the ABS version is available in France.

French stw1100 Model 2016
What can I say? The bike has some weaknesses. Electricity has never been Guzzi's strong point. I've been riding a Calif 2 for 30 years, and I have to admit that it still doesn't make it. The main fuse blows and you end up with no light at all…The connecting wires melt, 2 times!
First cleaning, the paint on the rims falls off! Pots clack when decelerating, idle doesn't hold when cold and now cylinder head problem. My Stelvio is only 1 year old and 20,000 km…The worst thing about all this is the total absence of any discussion with moto guzzi after-sales service. For the moment, nothing under warranty
Apart from all that, it's true that it works quite well

It's one of the best bikes I've ever owned, I chose this 2013 ntx abs model because all the teething problems have been solved with it and I've ridden 80000kms to date without the slightest hitch I might add and always serviced on time and hope to do twice as much again, it's a very playful bike and above all economical on fuel Rating : 5/5
when I see all this praise for this bike, I wonder if I'm the only one with 45,000 km and endless problems with my latest italian
wiring harness
front brake discs
and now the flywheel
i'll skip the multiple breakdowns due to my trust in my dealer, SCHUMP village in Strasbourg, which I strongly advise against

The best !
French Dan74 Model 2014
By far the best motorcycle I've ever owned. 40 years of motorcycling, and after 20 bikes in my short motorcycling career, this 2014 Stelvio NTX 8v has delighted me in every way: power, comfort, roadholding, the charm of Mandello's exceptional V2, not a shadow in sight. What happiness! Rating : 5/5
Reduire vibration au guidon sur Guzzi Stelvio
French Mickelson 58 Model 2014
Good evening
The main problem for me is the excessive vibrations
Transmitted to the handles, which tends to make the driver's hands sore
Is there a solution to reduce this problem?
Thank you

After 2 years with the first version, I was tempted by the new NTX model. A great pleasure. An even more pleasant engine, a range that lets you hit the road without question, and a narrower rear tire that makes it even more pleasant to corner Rating : 5/5
