presentation of the F3 675 ORO 2012
you can get tired of a lot of things, but you can't get tired of an MV-Agusta. Even more so when the imminent arrival of a magnificent, high-performance little bombshell is preceded by... a special, all-too-tempting ORO series. For the Varese-based manufacturer, the ORO designation refers to the first series of a new model to go on sale, marked by nobility, fine parts and limited distribution, and preceding the standard version intended for ordinary mortals.
The F3 675, with its bewitching silhouette and furious 3-cylinder engine, followed by a price tag that's going to hurt in this category (11,990 euros), will first be available as an ORO. This means that your banker will see you coming into his home straight away, and your wife will have one jealousy fit after another.
Its svelte, exciting silhouette is dressed in MV's historic red-silver colors, with very discreet decoration. With the exception of the tubular trellis, all parts receive a "gold finish" surface treatment. The forged aluminum rims, swingarm, frame plates and ventilation grilles all appear to have been dipped in this precious metal. Exclusive in more ways than one (only 200 will be built), the F3 675 oro is adorned with luxury and precious materials. The saddles are made of leather and alcantara, the footrests are carved from aluminum, and carbon is present at every level: mudguards, exhaust tailpipes, fairing cowling, airbox (superb - see photos), chain guards, fork head inner return.
That was just to whet the appetite. Because this F3 limited is designed to make you drool. Its 3-cylinder engine puts out more watts than the standard version. The Italian engine is said to produce 144 hp, almost as much as a 750 GSX-R and some fifteen more than its designated rival, the Triumph Daytona 675. Suffice it to say that the R6 and ZX-6R have a nasty mouth...
Such a racy bike has to live up to its prestige with top-notch suspension. Öhlins has been chosen to handle the ground linkage, with an inverted fork, TTX36 shock absorber and steering damper from the famous Swedish manufacturer. For braking, we find the very best, namely Brembo all-radial brakes with monobloc calipers. Add to this advanced electronic management, a counter-rotating crankshaft to optimize traction and handling, and the experience of MV-Agusta, and you have one of the most tempting machines of the decade.
A small, engraved gold plate on the upper fork crown will remind you every time you start up that you're on an exceptional motorcycle. The price is, as ever, closer to jewelry than reasonable. Expect to pay twice the price of a standard F3, i.e. around 25,000 euros, to get your hands on this ORO-series F3, which can only be described by one word: sublime! Sublime!

Recently, I’ve been having a problem with a noisy clutch.
Upon disassembly, my mechanic found that the bearing was worn due to wear on the washer and a shim.
He has been waiting for the parts for over a month now through the MV AGUSTA dealer Atlantic Motos in Savenay, 44.
I sent a message to MV in Varese (Italy) to report the problem.
No response to date.
Given the value of the motorcycle, I find this unacceptable.
To be continued...

In the meantime, the problem was resolved by the ATLANTIC MOTOS dealership in Savenay (44) and my mechanic at MECA PRESTIGE in DOL, Brittany (35).
So I informed MV in Varese.
No response.
