sport-GT ? Trail-sport? This machine is a multi-tasker. Whatever it is, it's time to reposition it at the top of the range. That's why the standard version has been recalibrated into the more modest Rosso. The MV-Agusta style of touring and trail riding is more a story of sport, passion and the open road.

the 800 Turismo Veloce exudes impatience, its design makes you long for more, its engine is piqued with adrenalin and its electronics are worthy of the brand's sports bikes. This luxury version (Lusso in Italian) takes refinement to another dimension of travel.

Its two-tone color scheme is more refined than that of the glowing Rosso version. Even richer in electronics and equipment, the Lusso boasts GPS, heated grips and semi-active "Skyhook" suspension. Damping very similar to that offered on Ducati Multistrada S models. Equipment manufacturer Sachs developed this technology, which enables the suspension to "read" the road and adapt settings accordingly. The system acts continuously on the hydraulic settings, working in concert with the on-board electronics. The settings were fine-tuned with the bike's general update.

Better equipped, the Lusso is no heavier than the basic TV. At 191 kilos, it is one of the lightest in its class. Yet it weighed much more last year. So what happened? MV simply removed the suitcases previously supplied with the wheel. Without lowering the price - amazing...! You'll have to buy them as options, or look out for the SCS version with automatic clutch to get them as standard.

for 2021, the Varese crossover has received a number of user-friendliness enhancements for all versions. For the Lusso, as for the other 3 versions, the bubble is larger, the seat lowered to 830 mm, the saddle re-cushioned, and the dashboard swapped for a larger 5.5-inch screen. This screen interacts with a smartphone via Bluetooth and the MV Ride app. A navigation system and Mobisat anti-theft tracker are also included.

The 110 horsepower of the three-cylinder engine will have no trouble playing with this machine. The 800 TV has recently benefited from Euro5 upgrades. New injectors with higher pressure, optimized intake ducts, modifications to valve guides and tappets, a reworked exhaust system and a new gearbox staggering have all modernized the 3-cylinder.
Power and torque have not suffered, with 110 hp and just over 8 mkg still on tap. There's even a noticeable improvement in the mill's mid-range power: +12% torque between 3,000 and 6,000 rpm.

technical enthusiasts will appreciate its advanced electronics, as the 800 Turismo Veloce houses the MVICS 2.1 platform. Behind this code name lies a panoply of driving aids. Three driving modes (Touring, Sport, Rain) + a customizable one - the setting options are worthy of a Gran Turismo game. Throttle sensitivity, traction control, torque curve, power, engine braking and mill liveliness can be set to a defined number of levels. The bike is also equipped with an anti-wheeling system, cruise control and the third-generation EAS shifter. This allows you to shift up and down without touching the clutch.
The latest update is the arrival of an inertial unit. This explains the presence of reactive ABS when cornering.

An MV frame bears a signature: two aluminum parts attached to a steel trellis frame. Very similar to that of the previous Rivale, its structure is slightly wider, and the plates have been modified to accommodate a center stand. With 160 mm of travel, the suspension consists of a 43 mm upside-down fork and monoshock. Brembo takes care of braking, and it's serious without being hypersport. Radial mounting, 4 pistons per caliper and 320 mm discs at the front; 220 mm disc and double-piston caliper at the rear. The fuel tank, with a capacity of 21.5 liters, looks set to take you to the next level.
