after years and years of patience, hard work and misfortune, BMW has finally won a World Endurance Championship race. Since the first S 1000 RR, the brand had been on a quest for performance and victory, and the results were there from the start, impressive even. However, it wasn't until the first edition of the 6 Hours of Most - a race that will live long in the memory - that the brand was crowned World Endurance champion.
a crazy duel was played out in the final minutes of the race at Most between the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team (Ilya Mikhalchik, Markus Reiterberger and Kenny Foray) and the YART - Yamaha Official EWC Team (Marvin Fritz, Karel Hanika and Niccolò Canepa). German riders Markus Reiterberger for BMW Motorrad and Marvin Fritz for YART put up an extraordinary fight for victory, with 0.070 of a second separating the two machines at the chequered flag - an unprecedented feat in world endurance racing! Over the last half-hour, Marvin Fritz set four fastest race laps. He set the final record of 1'33.875 on his penultimate lap.

still in the leading pack, the Wójcik Racing Team (Gino Rea, Sheridan Morais and Dan Linfoot) finished 5th in Most. This is their best result after a difficult season.

the first events affected the leading pack after 2 hours of racing. F.C.C. TSR Honda France crashed and finished unclassified. Crashes also hit Tati Team Beringer Racing and Moto Ain, who were in the Top10, and VRD Igol Experiences broke the engine on their Yamaha.
vRD Igol Experiences was in 7th place with the firm intention of defending its 2nd position in the world rankings. A push lap to cross the finish line didn't get him classified, but his determination earned him the Anthony Delhalle EWC Spirit Trophy.
