Dunlop continues its involvement in the FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC) by becoming the exclusive tire supplier for the new FIM Production World Trophy category. This partnership, which continues Dunlop's involvement with the Superstock category, marks a new stage in the collaboration between Dunlop and Warner Bros. Discovery Sports, promoter of the championship.
Motorcycle Endurance: Dunlop expands its footprint with the FIM Production World Trophy
Since 2022, Dunlop has been the exclusive equipment supplier for Superstock machines, contributing to the category's rapid growth with ever-faster lap times and increasingly competitive competition. From 2025, the brand will also supply its Dunlop KR slicks to all teams in the nascent Production category, which aims to make endurance racing more accessible to new groups.
This is the main attraction surrounding the 46ᵉ edition of the FIM EWC 2025, the launch of the FIM Production World Trophy, which will take place at all three European events. This class will feature 1000cc bikes close to production models, with limited modifications to contain costs and ensure fair competition. It will accompany the EWC and Superstock grids at the championship's three European rounds: the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans in April, the 8 Heures de Spa in June and the Bol d'Or in September.
Key players react to partnership extension
In the Formula EWC premier class, where competition between manufacturers remains open, Dunlop will continue to work with some of the best teams in the field.
Wim Van Achter, Motorsport Manager, Dunlop Motorcycle Europe:
We are delighted to continue and extend our partnership with the FIM Endurance World Championship. In collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Sports, one of the championship's official partners, we are delighted to support the FIM Production World Trophy to enable more teams to compete in an accessible and rewarding environment, and to create an even more exciting spectacle for fans, with fuller grids and more action.
This new commitment confirms Dunlop's key role in Moto Endurance and promises even more competitive racing for the 2025 season.
Jean-Baptiste Ley, Motorsport Events Director, Warner Bros. Discovery Sports:
Having supplied the Superstock-based FIM Endurance World Cup exclusively since 2022 with a very high level of quality, we know we can count on Dunlop as a reliable and proven partner. So it was an obvious step to extend our alliance with Dunlop to become the exclusive tire supplier for the brand new FIM Production World Trophy, a very exciting addition to the EWC pyramid from 2025. In addition, we are delighted to extend our multi-year commercial partnership with Dunlop, which began in 2016 and has helped strengthen the EWC championship year after year.
Dunlop will be present at the Lyon Motor Show in mid-February, for the first time alongside Avon. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover all the Goodyear Group's new products, including the SportSmart Mk4 hypersport tire.
