The Suzuki GSX-R1000R is making headlines again with a brand-new“Stealth” edition. This very limited-run series focuses heavily on aesthetics and, to a lesser extent, on exclusivity— though it fails to reclaim the top spot it once held.
Black suits it so well
Forget the traditional blue and white of Hamamatsu. As its name suggests, this Stealth edition sports a “total black” livery with a taciturn simplicity. Surprisingly, this dark aesthetic draws its inspiration not from the MotoGP paddock, but from the manufacturer’s marine division, adopting thedesign language of Suzuki’s“Stealth Line” of outboard motors. The result is undeniably aggressive, enhanced by a special Stealth logo on the fuel tank, flanked by the bike’s serial number.
A few years ago, Suzuki UK took a similar approach with the GSX-R1000R Phantom. It just goes to show that from Rome to London, the Gex can pull off a dark look.
Carbon Fiber and Titanium Make an Appearance
To justify its status as a special edition, Suzuki drew from its catalog of parts and accessories. The GSX-R1000R Stealth is equipped with a titanium Akrapovic exhaust system—perfect for unleashing the roar of the 195 ch four-cylinder engine—as well as carbon fiber winglets, a smoked windscreen, and a seat cover.
Beneath the stealthy exterior, the fundamentals remain the same. It features the famous 999.8 cm³ inline-four engine with its legendary power delivery—though not overwhelming. The chassis, while still incredibly effective, builds on the foundation of the previous generation. While the formula still works wonders on the track, one might legitimately regret the absence of any real technical or electronic advancements for a 2026 model. Suzuki is capitalizing on a proven platform, once again postponing a complete redesign of its iconic model.
10 units, not one more
The real selling point of this Suzuki lies in its limited availability. Only 10 units are being produced. Priced at 21,690 euros, available exclusively in Italy and reservable online via the brand’s website, the premium is, all things considered, reasonable given the included features (exhaust, carbon fiber, accessories).
