presentation of the GSX 1250 FA 2010
The GSX-F philosophy has changed. Initially developed as sport-GTs, in direct competition with the indestructible VFR, these machines have now been transformed into GSF Bandit-based tourers. The 650 started the ball rolling several years ago, offering long-haul touring for medium-displacement and medium-paying riders.
but the Suzuki range has long lacked a big GT. The 1300 GSX-R Hayabusa was far too sporty for the job. So the manufacturer has come up with a Bandit-style cocktail. First of all, a big engine; just what we needed: the recent 1255 cm3 is clean, modern, torquey, (perhaps a little too wise), and perfectly suited to powering a big rig. Next, let's take the 1250 GSF's technical base, adapt the GSX-F 650's fairing to it, and add a few touring elements. And there you have it: the GSX-F 1250 - Hammamatsu's large-displacement tourer(which we already suspected on MP when we presented the 650).
a closer look reveals that this streamlined 1250 goes a little further than that. While it retains the 650's headlamp unit and dashboard (themselves taken from the GSX-R 1000 K5-K6), its fairing panels are more imposing, plusher and more elaborate, with slight styling effects inspired by the brand's sports bikes. A number of add-ons make riding and everyday life more enjoyable. Center stand, adjustable seat height (805 or 825 mm), ABS; and a list of options including everything you need for travel: top-case, side cases, double windscreen.
this GT is aimed above all at those who want to enjoy the open road and big torque without looking for the top end of motorcycle touring. Its chassis and equipment can't compete with the high standards and rigor of a BMW R 1200 RT, Yamaha FJR 1300 or Kawasaki GTR 1400, but they can't compete on the attractive price front. The GSX-F 1250 is offered at an unbeatable price for a displacement of this calibre.

The 1250 GSXFA harnessed to a sidecar is a very reliable and homogeneous unit Rating : 4/5 Respond to Bamby
A Tour de France, a tour of Corsica, the Massif Central, the Alps, the only limit is the original saddle.
125,000 kilometers, no clutch, no distribution, I keep an eye on it... tires, yes 4 to 6000km one rear 8 to 11000 one front. Oil change every 5,000 at the 10 40 at Leclerc, my filters and fluids. 6l per 100 combined. My discs have to be changed at 110,000.normal.that's an economical gt. I only regret not having a cardan shaft. You can't have everything... A sporty gt look, an all-round torquey engine, reassuring dry and wet handling. And I paid 4,000 for it used. In 3 years, it's more than paid for itself. My first, but not my last. Rating : 4/5 Respond to Jc
a partir de 30 a 40 km/h elle devient bruyante au niveau de l'avant
si quelqu'un a le même problème, merci d'avance Rating : 5/5 Respond to pat011
top torque, suppleness (200km/h in eme) but just to have fun.even loaded like a mule its behavior does not change.only happiness.engine full everywhere.I had a fz1 150 hp, frankly engine level there is no photo Rating : 5/5 Respond to jeanfran81
When you say that there is no photo with the fz1, you mean that you find the engine of this one better? please explain

Go for it with your eyes closed! Rating : 5/5 Respond to G71
minuses: small size, protection and original topcase overhanging the seat. Rating : 4/5 Respond to eric
I currently have 45000kms and nothing to say powerful bike easy to handle
Low maintenance costs for 4 1/2 years it costs me 50â'¬ / month including purchase price!
So what's not to like about it, maybe its looks. And the lack of cardan shaft
Otherwise buy if you want a GT with no problem!
Jacques Rating : 5/5 Respond to Jacques35
If the 1250's engine is "too wise", then the majority of road bike engines are downright wheezy!
You've got to stop comparing everything with sports bikes, we're not in the same category. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Michel80
Right now, in this range, the FA is the best value for money. Rating : 5/5 Participate in the conversation
no interest... pas de \"s\" s\' il n\'y en a pas des interets! Rating : 4/5 Participate in the conversation
Thanks in advance Rating : 3/5 Respond to ben
comfort, smoothness, with a leo carbon pot (weight and torque), it's a real winner. And what's more, it's not expensive. If it's just for cruising, like me, the 7,000 euros for a cardan shaft isn't justified. A real tourer.

the designers at Suz.... didn't mess around. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Nova
Using the comparison tool on the official website, we can see that the ground clearance is increased by 5 mm, but the seat height is given as 15 mm higher
What do you think of this oddity? Rating : 5/5 Respond to rikoou
