presentation of the GSX-R 1000 édition Yoshimura 2010
yoshimura needs no introduction... Yes, it does. Mostly famous for its exhausts, the brand is also a fine competition name, with a thick catalog of prepared and racing parts. It's also been a great partner of Suzuki for 3 decades now. In fact, Yosh manufactures special mufflers for some of the manufacturer's models, available only through the Suzuki network. In competition, the Yoshimura-Suzuki team won the Suzuka 8-hour race in 2009, and in previous years, the team has often contended for top places. This year, they're going all out for World Superbike, entering 3 World Championship events.
Suzuki France has therefore created this limited edition GSX-R 1000 Yoshimura to pay homage to this tuner who has been with the team for 30 years. The flamboyant color scheme features Yosh's trademark colors, and the deco is no less than that of Daisaku Sakai, Kasuki Tokudome and Nobuatsu Aoki, the 2009 Suzuka endurance race winners. The hypersport gains a pair of GP Evo IVS mufflers, and as a result, a few kilos less (for extra horsepower, go to the competition section). These 20 numbered models will be available at the end of May, for the princely sum of 18,499 euros.
