Motorcycle specifications Suzuki1300 GSX-R Hayabusa 2012 Following the Millennium Falcon *

presentation of the 1300 GSX-R Hayabusa 2012
since the shock of its launch in 1999, the Hayabusa has represented pure speed in the motorcycle microcosm. A permanent visa for the 300 km/h mark, whereas other sports bikes of the time were only temporary passports. Every superlative was bestowed upon it, transforming it from motorcycle phenomenon to inescapable myth.
But then, time passed, the 1000 hypersports took center stage, and recently, 2 troublemakers came to tickle the meters of the big GSX-R: a certain Kawasaki ZZR 1400 and its 193 hp, and an MV-Agusta F4 R claiming 312 km/h (the Italians have their own sense of modesty). It was time for Suzuki's Caliph to set the record straight and calm down these young, long-toothed viziers. Time for Suz to unleash the new 1300 Hayabusa on the road.
and then, like everyone else, we rush to the pictures, we're impatient, we're expecting a revolution like its style at the end of the last century, we imagine anything and everything, we're ecstatic in advance... and we utter, almost with disappointment, an "ah yeah, not bad...!".
No more daring, let's limit the risks, let's play the evolution card. The overall look remains close to its predecessor. Enough to preserve the beast's intrinsic style, while adding more class, dynamism and suavity. Still long and massive, the design of the "falcon" is more elaborate in its curves, emphasizing the muscle combined with aerodynamics. An even greater quest for speed is revealed in a rear end carved with vicious, elegant sensuality.
A reworked headlamp unit, more stylish air intake vents, redesigned exhausts and fairing sides in the style of the latest GSX-Rs (but softer), a higher bubble - not spectacular improvements, but they cleverly enhance the silhouette of the world's fastest motorcycle.
Don't stop at the modernized look, and look forward to the best, the heart and soul of the Hayabusa. It's inside, and it's big...
very big. The 4-cylinder engine under the fairing is a monument to vigor. It was impressive with its watts; now it's exceptional with its power.
With a 2 mm increase in stroke, the block gains 41 cm3 for a total cubic capacity of 1340 cm3. This seriously reworked boiler is equipped with ti
Not suffering from any kind of excessiveness complex, the factory confidently claims that the engine has gained around 12% in power and torque with these improvements. The result is a machine with a maximum power output of 197.2 bhp at 9,500 rpm and a staggering maximum torque of 15.81 mkg at 7,200 rpm. Enough to make the meters drool.
gauges to measure madness. A dashboard with a strong expression was needed to control the ardor, performance and bestiality of this new bomb. A melody of needles imprisoning electronic control crystals, the only false note that nostalgics or speed enthusiasts may deplore is the graduation set at 280 maximum. A crazy speed? Just ask the original 1300 GSX-R owners, who could see 340 at the bottom of the dial.
scheduled for launch at the end of the year, the Suzuki GSX 1300 R Hayabusa is likely to become the fantasy machine of speed lovers and radar guns (but they'll be smoking by then). The first version of this rocket was pushed to over 310 km/h by a journalist from a well-known magazine - in 2008, the machine is sleeker and has 12% more power... just imagine the flames on the road after the passage of one of the most fantastic machines in motorcycle production.

for the record, the 2012 model doesn't brake, compared to the kawa zzr 1400 ABS, as I also owned this model from 2008 to 2012 Rating : 4/5 Respond to MARCO
Yes, thanks for the advice... my z800 weighed 240kg but it's true that the position isn't the same. Then I was on my toes. Now I'm trying to gain as much height as possible for greater stability without altering the bike's handling.
I'll be back to share my experience with you, and thanks again for the advice! Good luck and long road! Rating : 4/5 Participate in the conversation
I am a woman of 1m60 and I would like to buy a hayabusa 2015. I ride with my husband who is in 1400 zzr 2015
We ride a lot (30 000/year)
I used to ride a z800
My question is
what do you think of this bike for a woman? I specify that I must lower 3cm t fork and suspension. Thank you very much Rating : 5/5 Respond to PATOU
For a woman no problem to ride but the bike is quite heavy to stop and maneuver and in full attention is not a z800 must be held
Why don't you go for a test ride, to see for yourself? But having ridden a 1400zzr, I find the haybusa much easier to handle
Bonne route nono. Rating : 5/5 Participate in the conversation
Thanks. I do not want to put it in full initially I mean first "get used" to the beast lol ... I hear bcp say it is hard to take and bcp say more physical than the zzr 1400 ... well I get it Friday I will come back to share my feelings. Thanks for the advice! Made Brittany Gorges du verdon Ardeche Jura Alps ... I've never had so much fun riding a motorcycle!!! Impressive handling, incredible power, monstrous torque - no regrets! You have to be careful when maneuvering without the engine, because it's still pretty heavy, but once it's running, you really forget its 260kg....Thank you for your advice, because it's true that everyone advised me against it. ... if one day I had to change, well, without hesitation, another hayabusa!!!! A crazy truck.
In fighter-plane mode, the speedometer needle jumps to 280 at the drop of a hat. I didn't push it to its maximum, but for a first, it's still OK to see on a circuit on a good straight.

The engine revs up like a fury.
Not to be put in everyone's hands, especially on open roads.

Compared with the 1st generation (99-07), revs are more linear, but the chassis is much better. A hair more greedy, but still very reasonable.
L\'hayabusa, it's a simple plant with big sensations. Devoid of superficial technological gadgets, it leaves the field wide open to "old-school" driving, where the rider's dosage is the law. And that's what's so good about it! A Hayabusa isn't made for braking! But it's perfect for accelerating and cornering!

certainly not as light as a hyper sport, but in the virlos I have no problem putting my knees down it has impeccable road holding and I guarantee that if you know how to handle it you're not last.
for touring, I have a good old 1999 r1
the only hitch in my opinion is the lack of brakes, despite the avia hoses and soft pads Rating : 5/5 Respond to toffeur38
....
Otherwise, the bike is easy to ride, and the engine is probably the best 4-cylinder ever: supple, hyper-vigorous from the very first revs, an intoxicating sound and endless thrust... Within the speed limit, fuel consumption is around 6.8l/100. The original bubble is undersized for road use. The driving position is very good. The disadvantage is in town, where the field of vision is fatally low on the bike. You have to be careful there. Small roads aren't really its thing, but it can do the job. On wider roads and in big curves, the bike is unbeatable. The big drawback is that you have to keep an eye on the speedometer: at 160km/h, the bike is laughing - even with a speed limiter - but that's forbidden... Cruise control wouldn't be a luxury on this machine. The rear-view mirrors offer mediocre visibility, and I find them unworthy of such a beautiful bike. Rating : 5/5 Respond to joster
had the chance to try out several exceptional machines. I can tell you that this "HAYABUSA\" is a bomb, a divine engine. As for those who would criticize its size or make comparisons with other ridiculous machines. My advice to them: buy a bike worthy of your abilities, namely a VESPA. In short, this HAYABUSA won't disappoint you; it's quite simply the must-have in its class. Rating : 5/5 Respond to MONONQUE

after a honda cb 1000r a 2013 hayabusa que du bonheur engine full everywhere even in 106hp small peak 260kh without having pushed hard but i think its maxi must make 280kh.
Before buying I tried the 1400zzr 2012 good engine also good road holding but the hayabusa and easier to take and yet I wanted the 1400zzr as always make a test before.
In driving the hayabusa and a raille on road and in handling it and easy.
Bonne route à tous.

She can do it all: from 10 km/h onwards, she weaves in and out of traffic like a bicycle, despite her considerable weight (260 kg) when stationary and fully loaded. The engine's availability and torque mean that you'd never need to shift into second gear to stay under 50 km/h, but as it idles again in 2°, you might as well go for it. Gravel doesn't scare it, as long as you don't tense up on the handlebars, just let it flow. When the asphalt becomes smooth and perfect, nothing resists her. Whether you work with your body or your arms, it's faithful to the sensations stored by your eyes and brain. You select your trajectory, apply a little pressure to the brake lever, set the bike on course with the movement of your body, correct if necessary with the handlebars or by applying pressure to the inside footrest, and as soon as you see the exit, gazz, the bike sits on its suspension and rips you off in an extraordinary thrust of power and smoothness. i'm not talking about the freeway, I don't go on it much because it's so boring and it's a trap for your license, but it's certainly the most docile ground-to-ground missile, and there's something very satisfying about seeing the big German sedans or Italian sports bikes far behind in the rear-view mirror. As for the dress, it turns a lot of heads, so what more could you want? A little less weight, but it's so well-balanced... a little less thirsty? but from 5.2l to 7.1l in rogue mode, that's nothing to shout about! The rubber lasts between 3500 and 5000 kms depending on use, but that's the price of power and weight. For the duo, wide seat and roll bar for the passenger, no vibration, speedometer on the dashboard, 3 mapping modes for the power and torque curve. A motorcycling connoisseur stopped me to check the papers and discuss the engine, and as I was leaving, he smiled broadly and said, "{gaffe aux radars, même si c'est frustrant..}" It meant everything..
it's not a motorcycle for young licence-holders, of course, but it's worth trying out and owning at least once in your life if you like the best on two wheels!
So those who criticize it without knowing it, get on it and see... they'll be blown away. Rating : 5/5 Respond to Matthieu Consta
I bought the hayabusa Full power , the last generation with meters graduated at 350 km/h with the kit 185 CV and > 190 CV in dynamics with modifications of the aerodynamics (until the indicators which are striated!!!) In short, I was a regular of the GSX-R 1100 (155 Cv), well it acts as a moped next to the buzzard!!!! (so to speak) the falcon scares the hell out of me, with its unimaginable 140 nm of torque, diabolical performance, unimaginable power and rage, and it leaps into the red zone at the slightest throttle input,
not for everyone! I've already ordered my coffin! Rating : 5/5 Respond to Patrice
Speed cameras, etc. Let's stop being hypocritical when a 600 cm3 gets a 200 without a PB, but certainly not with the same arguments as an A 280
This latest model makes its owners vibrate, and so much the better for those who vibrate on a 125 or a T.MAX
To each his own, as long as he remains responsible Rating : 5/5 Respond to Nigib
having ridden the old model for 3 years, I'm delighted to have just ordered the new version in blue and gold. To appreciate it, I'll have to wait until mid-May, because they're arriving in dribs and drabs from Japan!
Hayabusa is much more than a myth, it's a concentrate of technology and safety!
it offers us a lot, not only its title of undefeated world champion in top speed! its behavior, its noise, its beauty, etc...
Paradoxically, in addition to the respect you have to have when you drive her, she's also incredibly docile and calm when you drive her, but it's an alchemy that has to happen naturally between man and machine, there's no secret to it
my motto: Never go beyond my limits, which are certainly well below those of the machine! Thank you Hayabusa for existing! Rating : 5/5 Respond to chris
but what bothers me a bit is the speed thing... you have to put things in perspective
the old one came out with 175hp, and the factory came out with (I think) more than 340hp on the dyno. You can expect to get 320hp on a straightaway, and when you start fiddling around, I'm not talking about that
There's an extra 20hp here... and they'd never sell a bike that could break 350, would they? And why does the speedometer stop at 280? I wonder if the old one won't work better than the new one..
any thoughts? ^^ Rating : 5/5 Respond to Eddy

So what's the point of this bike? To think you've got the biggest in the world? Take the strain off your engine by cruising at 300km/h at 9000rpm rather than 10,000 with the old one? Mouais, I remain skeptical... Rating : 5/5 Respond to le roi de
