presentation of the 1200 Speed Triple RX 2025
The explosive British roadster is now available in a more radical version. The Speed Triple 1200 RS is already a powerful enough machine to deliver adrenaline-pumping thrills at all times. With this RS version, it leans slightly toward the café racer style, offering a sportier riding position and a few well-chosen features. It’s a sort of compromise between the standard version and the former RR sports model.
Attack stance
Before we get a handle on this fiery machine’s temperament, let’s take a closer look at what sets the RX apart from the RS. The livery, which is brighter and more vibrant; a carbon fiber front fender; an RX logo embedded in the seat; a stunning machined aluminum triple clamp; a titanium Akrapovic muffler, a bit nicer than the stock unit and saving 2 kilos; an Öhlins Mechatronic electronic steering damper linked to the suspension control unit; and controls to push the rider toward the limit.
The Speed Triple 1200 RX ditches its stock handlebars for a beautiful pair of handlebar extensions, which move the grips 69 mm higher and 59 mm further forward. At the same time, the footpegs are raised by 14.5 mm while being moved back 25.5 mm. The conclusion is almost inevitable: it invites you, entices you, compels you to lean into corners like there’s no tomorrow and attack them beyond reason.
Thus, the Triumph’s front end transcends precision. Between the rider’s more pronounced lean, the Öhlins inverted fork, the steering damper, the Brembo Stylema brakes, and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 tires, you know the curves are just waiting to be conquered.

The flagship of the Speed Triple dynasty
This RX builds on the core of the 1200 Speed Triple, featuring its standout components—the single-sided swingarm, a Brembo MCS brake lever, that aluminum frame with its distinctive design, Öhlins suspension throughout, and high-quality hardware—along with its chic-thug aesthetic and breathtaking engine. The 2025 updates give it an extra 3 horsepower, bringing the total to 183 at 10,750 rpm. A robust engine that’s responsive at all RPMs, powerful and exhilarating, with no weaknesses and highly addictive. Torque isn’t slacking either, with 128 Nm. So you’d better have some real technical know-how and a cool head to handle it.
And riding aids to get the most out of it. Depending on the 5 available settings of the Speed: several riding modes allow the electronics to more or less tame the bike. Between Rain, Road, Sport, Track, or User, there’s plenty to vary the sensations, control, and playfulness.
Inside the brain of this powerhouse, you’ll find traction control (which can be disabled) and cornering-optimized ABS, an Up&Down shifter, wheelie control, engine braking control and engine braking slip assistance, and a cruise control system. The Smart EC3 OBTi control unit manages the suspension in real time— this latest-generation Öhlins damping system is found only on certain high-performance hypersports bikes.
While we’re at it, let’s not forget a few “comfort” features like the keyless ignition system, the 5-inch color TFT screen, backlit switches, and Bluetooth connectivity to pair and control your smartphone, enjoy simplified navigation, and manage your music.

Enhanced Sporty Spirit
The RX designation is rather rare at Triumph. It was used only for a special version of the 675 Street Triple in 2015, which was loaded with equipment and borrowed a few features from the Daytona.
With the 1200 Speed Triple RX, the appeal for track riding and the circuit is even more pronounced. It becomes a refined, alluring, and exhilarating motorcycle, designed for focused and precise riding with a touch of fantasy in the corners. It will be limited to 1,200 units worldwide.

Bikers' reviews Leave a review - 1 review
The equipment/price ratio is staggering compared to the competition. Braking, engine, chassis, and finish are a delight. Equipped with Stylema brakes to stop a truck and Ohlins smart EC3 suspensions identical to those of a Panigale V4S, it is extremely comfortable and at the same time very rigorous. It's worth noting that the torque of 13 mkg is not too high with a weight of less than 200 kg, giving a fuel consumption of 5.6 L in the mountains...
I love this Speed so much that it takes pride of place in the middle of my living room.
