presentation of the 1200 Scrambler X Icon Edition 2025
With the exception of the 400, Triumph's entire Scrambler range now sports an "Icon Edition". Last year, for the "Stealth" collection, only the 900 received this special treatment. Here, we're talking about the 1200 X, with its 90 hp and 110 Nm of torque. With a lower level of equipment than the XE, it's a fair price instead of a bleeding one. It also makes the most of its styling to stand out from the crowd.
The X's Black Sapphire / Aluminium Silver color scheme is the exact opposite of the XE's, with gray taking the place of black and vice-versa on the same elements. Take the fuel tank, for example: on the Scrambler 1200 X, it's predominantly grey with black grip-knee zones, while the XE's tank is shaded. The antagonism continues: black handlebars on the X, grey on the XE; the top of the tank in black with a small white "Icon Edition" emblem, the reverse on the top-of-the-range; same for the swingarm, mudguards, engine cowling, side stand and foot controls.
These two Scrambler 1200s, like the Bud from Alcor and Syd from Mizar, have the same inverted styling. Triumph had also done the same with the 900 and 1200 Bonneville "Bud Ekins".
What remains unchanged, however, is the golden Triumph logo - written in a very antique fashion. For good reason: it was the brand's emblem in 1907. It was an exciting time under the impetus of Siegfried Bettmann and Moritz Schulte, the brand's founder and his partner.

Want more oomph than the 900 , but the 1200 XE 's substantial budget is putting you off? The Scrambler 1200 X falls right in between. It's more road-going, more accessible, forgetting about long travel, Brembo and suspension settings, but retaining the spirit of escapade, traction control, cornering ABS and 5 riding modes. The Icon finish will cost you almost 800 euros more. Enough to dissuade you from putting the slightest bit of mud on it.
