The Alps are a motorcyclist’s paradise, with endless twists and turns, breathtaking scenery, and a few snowflakes tickling your nose. There are countless trails there—enough to inspire Triumph to once again release a Tiger inspired by this region.
The British brand is pulling out all the stops with this Tiger 900 Alpine Edition. A trail-GT of fire and ice, enhanced with a few special touches, just like the good old days of the Triumph Special Editions, complete with great value-for-money extras.
Fire rages in the 3-cylinder engine, heating up the curves and the ride with its 108 horsepower. Ice settles on the refreshing and bright Alpine livery, a mix of frosty blue and crisp white.
Triumph uses the GT Pro as a base, with its extensive equipment, to which a pair of crash bars and an Akrapovic muffler have been added. This is the first time Hinckley has offered a Slovenian exhaust as standard; usually, Arrow is the go-to choice. However, this Tiger loses the heated seats and is not eligible for the free pair of panniers included in the "Tiger 900 Family" special offer.
Two extra accessories, a bit less comfort, and a Courchevel-style paint job—that’s what defines this Alpine Edition, for an extra 400 bucks. It’s up to you to decide if the sound of an Akra is worth giving up a warm seat. Still, this Tiger comes with a hefty price tag: nearly 17 grand for a 900.
