Motorcycle specifications TriumphTiger 1200 Desert Edition 2026 Contemplating in the warmth
presentation of the Tiger 1200 Desert Edition 2026
There's always been something fascinating about deserts. The immensity of escape, the unknown, the elusive, or the mystical. Many men dream of going there; the 1200 Tiger proposes to do just that.
There, between the dunes and the sun, the imagination willingly gives way to the heat. But on site, it's cold at night. And also during the day in certain arid landscapes. That's why this special Desertseedition is distinguished by the adoption of heated saddles as standard. The simple fact of riding here at the height of winter will do just as well to appreciate this equipment.
The Triumph Tiger 1200 Desert Edition also comes with rear radar as standard. Not to avoid being overtaken by wildebeests, but to offer a blind spot detector and lane departure warning - the bike warns you if a vehicle is about to overtake you when you're about to change lanes.
Heat, warnings and two specific colors for this special series. A Crystal White where white reigns with a few scars of red, or the more squat Satin Granite, all dark with yellow protrusions.
Maxi GT for long-distance parties
This Desert Edition follows the same pattern as the 2020-2021 model: take an already well-stocked Tiger and spice it up with more sauce. Here, the original model is the Tiger 1200 Rally Pro. It is offered at 600 euros less than this model (which will disappear from the catalog in 2026). The rider will have at his disposal 150 hp and 130 Nm from a big 3-cylinder derived from the Speed Triple, a large-section inverted fork, pilot-controlled damping, spoked wheels, thin tires (90/90-21 and 150/70-118), an adjustable bubble and seat, Brembo Stylema brakes and lots of electronics. A shifter, 6 riding modes, a 7-inch TFT color display, keyless start, cornering ABS, cruise control, traction control, adaptive cornering lights, hill-start assist, and more. Loaded like a mule, but much faster.

The price is also high. Just as much as other models in the sector. Except that Triumph is making an effort: it's less expensive but better equipped. It would seem that the 1200 Tiger is about to undergo a complete overhaul.
The Desert Edition theme is also available with the 900 Tiger; in parallel, there's also an Alpine version for the 1200, with the same addition of accessories but with a less adventurous, more GT feel.
