Motorcycle specifications TriumphTiger 1200 Alpine Edition 2026 A tiger in wolf territory
presentation of the Tiger 1200 Alpine Edition 2026
It's a road that the snow hasn't had time to whiten. It's the look of a groundhog surprised by a hoarse sound. It's a zest of cold sunshine on the morning frost. The Triumph Tiger 1200 Alpine Edition wants you to discover these little moments. To show that its name is not just an idea, but a mission.
To take you to destinations like the Alps for the joys of its venerable roads; not for its forest tracks. This big trail-GT doesn't have shoes for trails, but for asphalt. Triumph offers two special outfits to help it blend into the scenery of the mountain passes: a big white one with blue coolers for smiling at the ice gatherers, or a grey coat with orange peel, more typical of mountain guides.
A fuller rucksack
The Alpine edition is not just about clothes. Like its predecessor (dating from 2020 - 2021), it's got more equipment. For this one, we're adding heated saddles (for shoveling at the top of mountain passes) and a rear radar to add a double warning function. A blind-spot and lane-change assistant, to avoid contact with a deer catching up with you on the side *.
Where it gets really cool is that, with this extra equipment, the Alpine Edition is..... less expensive than the 1200 GT Pro from which it's derived. Is there a wolf? Apparently not. And if you do come across a pack of these friendly critters, the 150 horsepower of the beefy 1160 cm3 three-cylinder engine will quickly propel the Tiger and its crew far and wide.

For this imposing trail bike has watts, and big torque. Up to 130 Nm, that's a nice ladleful of boost and muscle. Let's take a quick look at its special features: Showa semi-active suspension, Brembo stylema (hypersport) brakes, striking swingarm with cardan drive, electronics, Bridgestone A41 tires and 247 kg full tank.
The family stands out
Triumph has thought of those who would like a more modest Alpine, with the Tiger 900 of the same name; or more adventure-oriented with the 1200 Desert Edition. In each case, the English feline goes out of its way to invite riders onto its back.

* The Blind Spot Assist system uses rear-facing radar to warn the driver when another vehicle is in his blind spot, while the Lane Change Assist system emits a more audible warning if the driver signals his intention to change lanes and a vehicle approaches.

- Heated seats are already available on the GT Pro
- Shaft drive rather than cardan drive
The Alpine Edition is a GT Pro with different colors. It gains radar and loses automatic lighting, among other things. Rating : 5/5 Respond to feotee
