in contrast to the Speed Triple 's fiery, impulsive character, the Legend is an affordable machine, both in terms of price and handling. Its engine may not be the most expressive in the house, but its temperament is endearing. Does the power (64 horsepower) seem "right"? Not to mention the short gear ratio, which allows it to give its all with gusto. And the torque available very early on adds to the picture. Roadholding is sound, and it's easy to get the hang of. Thanks to the low seat height and large handlebars. We could forgive this "entry-level" roadster's weak rear disc, but its cousins all share this fault. Whether it's theAdventurer, Thunderbird (and Sport) or Speed Triple, they're all allergic to the rear brake; and they're all lacking in suspension comfort in the same area. Those left wanting more with the Legend will find a wide range of 3-legged roadsters at the British manufacturer's disposal.

I have just acquired a Légend TT year 2001 for 1 month now. What a pleasure! Especially since it had been 20 years since I had ridden a motorcycle: very good handling, very nice engine noise and ESPECIALLY a style that changes and does not leave indifferent. WHAT A PLEASURE!

Ludo Legen Model 1998
