presentation of the 900 DSX 2024
Chinese manufacturers are firing on all cylinders, but there's one they're particularly keen on: trail bikes! With their industrial adaptability, manufacturers such as CF Moto, QJ Motor and Voge, the one we're interested in today, are able to follow market trends with ease.
What's new is that these manufacturers no longer target only small-displacement bikes, and have clearly understood that on the Old Continent, they also need to tap the market beyond 650 cm3.
To achieve this, Voge is using nothing less than the engine found in some BMW F 800 and 900 GS models: an 895 cm3 in-line twin which, even on the German model, is of Chinese origin, since Voge's parent company, the powerful Chinese Loncin Group, supplies it to the Bavarian brand.
voge DS 900 X: a bright future?
Aesthetically, the Chinese are renowned for taking their inspiration from what works in other manufacturers... The Voge DS900X is no exception to the rule, and its design is no exception. A well-informed biker who regularly browses Motoplanète's news and motorcycle pages is bound to find that this Voge has an air of Britishness about it! The Triumph Tiger seems to be the main source of inspiration. Nevertheless, this trail bike ticks all the right aesthetic boxes for the category: a modern, dynamic profile, full LED headlamps with visual signature and duckbill fairing invite adventure.
It's worth noting that the equipment is complete, with the full adventurer's package supplied as standard. These include a manually adjustable bubble, hand guards, quarter guards, additional lights and a rear pack holder.
For your utmost comfort: the grips and seat are heated as standard.

The bike's bodywork conceals a steel perimeter frame with 190 mm ground clearance. The swingarm is aluminum. For the suspension, Kayaba supplies the fork and shock absorber.
The front suspension is an inverted fork with a diameter of 43 mm and a travel of 194 mm. It is adjustable for preload, rebound and compression. The front suspension is also controlled by a steering damper.
The rear shock absorber is mounted on pushrods, which is always a guarantee of progressiveness. With a travel of 198 mm, it is adjustable in preload and rebound over a range of 25 levels.
As for braking, Voge has reassured us by using original Brembo equipment. At the front, there's a 305 mm double disc, Brembo floating calipers (double-piston), supervised by Bosch dual-channel ABS. The rear features a 265 mm disc fitted with a Brembo floating single-piston caliper.
All in all, the Voge DS900X weighs 215 kg unladen, to which must be added at least the 17 liters of fuel the tank can hold. This weight puts the Voge on a significant scale when compared to the 219 kg of the BMW F 900 GS ready to roll! At least 20 kg heavier than the German benchmark.
engine: power!
To move its mass, the DS900X can count on an energetic 270° in-line twin-cylinder engine. The latter offers 895 cm3 (86 x 77 mm) and 95.2 hp (70 kW) at 8,250 rpm. Torque is not to be outdone, with 94 Nm at 6,250 rpm. With this level of wattage, the machine ticks the boxes for future A2 bridging, which should happen in late 2024 or sometime in 2025.
This cavalry is managed by a ride-by-wire throttle and is controlled by 4 riding modes: road, sport, enduro and rain. Enduro mode cuts out all rider assistance: traction control and ABS.
Transmission is via a 6-speed gearbox featuring an anti-dribble clutch to limit torque feedback when downshifting. The gearbox can be manipulated with the standard up & down shifter. Final drive is by chain. For long freeway journeys, the bike also comes with cruise control as standard.
The bike is available in two colors: gray/blue or black. Voge distributes the DS900X at a price of 10,990 euros, an incredibly tight price considering the equipment and assistance supplied as standard. Other manufacturers are far less generous. It comes with a 3-year parts and labor warranty.
