presentation of the 1700 V-MAX 60eme anniversaire 2016
The 1700 V-Max is the ultimate oversized machine, and it too should commemorate Yamaha's 60th anniversary. Even more so when you're part of the Sport Heritage family.
Speaking of heritage, which one are we talking about here? The manufacturer's first victories, in 1956 with its YA-1; and the GP machines led with glory and ardor by the talent of Kenny Roberts. Like many other models in the range, the V-Max sports the colors of 'King Kenny'. Here, the 'SpeedBlock' yellow and black color scheme is deep and majestic. Completely covered in black, from the air scoops to the end of the mufflers, the steel monster applies the slit yellow of the famous checkerboard all along its spine. Yellow stitching on the saddles adds the finishing touch. The full dimension of the V-Max can only be expressed once the visual emotion has subsided. Contact awakens a huge V4. Waiting there with little patience are 200 horses ready to catapult an almost unconventional machine. Here, nothing is reasonable; and that's why metal takes on life, passion and nobility in an extravagant crucible. Overpowering, unjustifiably expensive and lacking in practicality, this instrument is simply indispensable.
