What's changing in 2016

A 2016 vintage based on emotion, sensations and nostalgia, for Yamaha. The XSR 700 and XSR 900 inaugurate the Faster Sons category, where technology meets neo-retro. Big watts and a big mouth with the MT-10, closely derived from the R1. Less violent but not without interest, an MT-03 roadster based on the sporty R3 makes its debut. A number of models are decked out in 60th anniversary colors. Production of the R1M is relaunched, still in limited quantities. More technologically advanced, the FJR 1300 continues to evolve for 2016. Unveiled in the middle of the year, the 700 Tracer follows in the footsteps of the 900 Tracer and could be just as successful.
The FZ1 and FZ8, as well as their Fazer versions, quietly left the catalog at the end of 2015. A few FZ8 / Fazer models remain until stocks run out.

Motorcycles recalled on Friday, March 26, 2021 in 12 countries : FJR 1300 A: The gearbox may be defective. This can lead to propulsion failure, increasing the risk of an accident.
300 YZF-R3: Due to an improper curing process (vulcanization), a crack may appear on a radiator hose and coolant may leak. Affected machines: 2017 YZF-R3 models with serial numbers RH121 0001001 to RH121 0003280. YZF-R3 models 2015-2016 with serial numbers between RH071 0001001 and RH071 0006680
MT-03 320: Due to an improper curing process (vulcanization), a crack may appear on a radiator hose and coolant may leak. Affected machines: MT03 model 2018 (B9A1) with serial numbers RH125 0001001 to RH125 0005280. MT03 model 2016 (B082) with serial numbers between RH07K 0001001 and RH07K 0006640.
300 YZF-R3: Insufficient torsion spring resistance. On some machines, it may be difficult to change gear. In extreme cases, the torsion spring may break, making it impossible to change gear ratios. Machines concerned: YZF-R3 2015-2016 (B023 / B02B) with serial numbers between RH071 0001001 and RH071 0006000.
MT-03 320: Insufficient torsion spring resistance. On some machines, it may be difficult to change gear. In extreme cases, the torsion spring may break, making it impossible to change gear ratios. Machines concerned: MT03 model 2016 (B082) with serial numbers between RH07K 0001001 and RH07K 0004520.
