auto Fabrica is one of the UK's most promising tuners, able to combine avant-garde design with classic styling. Yamaha approached this mechanical workshop, knowing that it would design a unique model without sacrificing roadholding. A staple of the Sports Heritage range, the XSR 900 was chosen for its extensive customization capabilities, as well as for the power of its proven 847 cm3 three-cylinder engine.
Auto Fabrica co-founders Bujar and Gaz Muharremi called on their good friend Toby Mellor to design the Type 11 Prototype One. The design was to reinterpret the boundaries between classicism and modernism. The team decided that this would be a track bike, so as not to be hampered by regulations concerning open road use.
the story begins with the Prototype One.
It's a racing beast, designed down to the smallest detail, evocative of raw power. Öhlins suspension, Brembo calipers, special PFM brake discs and customized BST carbon rims make for a more intense ride. Computer-designed 3D-printed nylon-carbon components, combined with carbon-fiber elements and Zirotek coatings, harmonize with the radical, hand-crafted aluminum body. A flush-fitting dial, contrasting saddle, quick-fill competition tank and hand-built 3-in-3 exhaust complete the package.
the story continues with the arrival of the Prototype Three.

a legend is born with the Prototype Two.
After Prototype One and Prototype Two, the direction was clear. The Prototype Two Type 11 combined the features of the first two creations to suit road use. Prototype Two was developed on an XSR 900 base, drawing its power from Prototype One, while borrowing the aesthetics of Prototype Three. The combination of different design styles and techniques gives the Prototype Two its powerful appearance. A round headlight, traditional fuel filler cap, padded seat, indicator lights, road-going tires and metallic silver paint closely link Prototype Two to the classic styling of Prototype Three.

We're also delighted that Prototype Two will soon be operational. Indeed, these are often one-off models and it's an extraordinary pleasure for all of us to know that this bike is going to be ridden in the real world by design enthusiasts."
The Prototype Two will be offered in a very limited series, sold to order as anAuto Fabrica Type 11. First deliveries are expected between summer and autumn 2018.
