What's changing in 2018

Yamaha reinforces big gains for 2018. With a facelifted MT-07, an MT-09 SP and an evolution of the 900 Tracer (+ a GT version), the brand is preserving the success of its flagship models. The R1 gains an improved shifter; so does the R1M, with optimized electronics and suspension. The XT 1200 ZE Super Ténéré trail bike is now only available in a special Raid edition. Shock of the year, the 3-wheeled bike: the 900 Niken.

Under certain circumstances, the front brake lever may break during use due to porosity formed by unsaturated material during the low-temperature, non-pressure molding process. Under normal use, the brake lever cannot break. Machines concerned: MT-03 (B9A7) with serial numbers between RH125 0010041 and RH125 0010640.

Due to an improper curing process (vulcanization), a crack may appear on a radiator hose and coolant may leak. Affected machines: MT03 model 2018 (B9A1) with serial numbers RH125 0001001 to RH125 0005280. MT03 model 2016 (B082) with serial numbers between RH07K 0001001 and RH07K 0006640.
