In 2020, the excellent relationship between Yamaha and Monster Energy has been further strengthened by the new Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 team, which welcomes riders Jago Geerts and Ben Watson. Lining up alongside the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP team of Gautier Paulin, Jeremy Seewer and Arnaud Tonus, these talented riders are aiming for podium finishes at all 2021 races.

To celebrate the factory's total involvement in the MXGP and MX2 championships, Yamaha announces the launch of the YZ 250 F Monster Energy Edition and YZ 450 F Monster Energy Edition . Featuring black and blue bodywork with exclusive Monster Energy motifs, the Monster Energy Edition offers motocross riders the chance to own an aggressively styled 2021 production bike with the authentic look of the factory machines used by Yamaha's Grand Prix teams.

The Monster Energy Edition features the same technical specifications as the standard model. A model that recently underwent a major upgrade. In 2020, the YZ 450 F has been completely redesigned, with a new, more compact electric-start engine, a lighter double-beam aluminum frame and many other new specifications that make it faster, more precise and even more competitive. Designed on the basis of the bike with which Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP rider Jeremy Seewer finished second in the 2019 MXGP World Championship, and equipped with cutting-edge technologies including the Launch Control System (LCS) and Power Tuner app, Yamaha's 450 4T is the most powerful and sophisticated production motocrosser ever developed by the brand.

The YZ 450 F retains all the high-end features introduced in 2020 (new engine, new cylinder head, new frame and new technological features) to benefit from greater lightness, power and handling. Riders can achieve faster, smoother starts at the starting line thanks to the Yamaha Launch Control System, and tailor their on-track performance using the on-board wireless connectivity offered by the free Yamaha Power Tuner app.

This unique Power Tuner application enables riders and mechanics to fine-tune the machine's engine performance at trackside, customizing settings and optimizing performance in all conditions. The bike's KYB suspension and lightweight aluminum frame offer excellent handling at all speeds, while its ultra-compact 450 cm3 4-valve engine delivers top-notch power and control.
