and that's certainly what happened in the design office of the new Tuono. This new model benefits from the evolutions developed for the RSV-R 1000, with the recipe for a wild, aggressive roadster with a sporty heart. As Aprilia clearly states: "The Tuono is a street fighter! The styling is even meaner, more angular, and perhaps even stranger, with a clash of colors and checkered flags running from the fender to the tank.

disturbing in style, strong in guts. The Tuono borrows everything it can from the sports bike: the aluminum perimeter frame, the banana swingarm, the Showa inverted fork with radial brake calipers, the Brembo Gold Series braking system, superb Y-spoke wheels and a steering damper housed under the fork head.

Speaking of which! A veritable insect's mouth ready to gnaw at anything that moves. Its menacing mouth houses a forced-air intake system. Widely used on sports cars, this is the first time the system has been applied to a roadster. Perfect for pumping up the Italian's magnesium twin-cylinder engine (the factory claims a 3% increase in power at high speed), which is now rated at 133 hp. A minor reworking of the mapping is required to give it a more roadster-like character and more low-end torque. That was for the 2006 model, which has already been optimized for 2007. the 6 horsepower gains enable the V60 to approach the 140-mph mark.
Lower by 15 mm, the machine has been redesigned for greater pleasure, efficiency and rider comfort. The Tuono was put through its paces in the wind tunnel. In terms of figures, the millstone has been lightened by 6 kg and gains 7 hp (while complying with Euro 3 standards).
Bye bye single-side exhaust - the 1000 RSV-R 's 2-in-1-in-2 exhaust system and half-analog, half-digital instrument panel - a real little on-board computer - are back.
With this new fighter, Europe has a fine panoply of styles. Imagine a little explanation between a Ducati S4R, a Triumph Speed Triple 1050, a KTM Superduke, an MV-Agusta 910 Brutale and this 2006 Tuono...

"The same only better?" Certainly not. It keeps its name, but it's much, much better. The performance, potential, equipment and design of the new Tuono send the old generation packing. From sidewalks to vibrators, it's going to be bleeding: all the potential of the RSV-R is there, except you're riding a roadster.

I used to ride a R1 which abandoned me at 28000km "engine hs" disappointed to pass the time I took a 1000 tuono V2 from 2007.le kif if I change it's for a 1000 tuono V4.... Rating : 5/5

After a 1000 vtr, here I am on a 2006 tuono... a machine that puts you at ease (too easily, in fact). I mainly ride in the Vosges mountains, where it lends itself well. Thanks to the anti-dribble clutch. If I change it's for a 1290 ktm and nothing else.... gazzzzz Rating : 5/5

Having ridden 4-strokes for 25 years, this is a real pleasure
It's a real pleasure to try a real twin-cylinder, for me the best in its category

One of my son's friends let me try his, and it's an excellent bike, period. Sporty or not, everything is excellent, even the position and comfort, thanks to an excellent rear suspension. With an adaptable seat (for the rider, as it's not the right bike for a duo), it's a very good everyday bike, with a characterful yet civilized engine for a big V-twin, surprisingly smooth - much smoother than the 1000vstrom I had, for example - and with few annoying vibrations. Admittedly, the engine makes a slightly irregular noise, but it sounds like good stuff, to say the least. The chassis is a feast of homogeneity and brakes hard. I'm not even talking about the arm's length of possible equipment. In conclusion, buy Aprilia, they always make well-thought-out motorcycles focused on riding pleasure. Even the fork head offers a little protection. Rating : 5/5

i've owned an xjr 1300sp for 8 years. I didn't want to change until I saw it. I've had it for 10 months now, and it's been a real pleasure

I was looking for a passion bike where I could feel good and forget about my 4-legged jap. and that's when I fell in love... it was with an 04/2005 model... nice story, until a TT rider dumped me on a dirt road, the bike went straight to the cemetery and I got a lot of bumps... The following Tuesday, I ordered the 2006 model... easier to handle, the engine is starting to come free... okay, a little deviation from the rule and akra pots (I had to put the baffles back on... the rookies thought it was too pretty...), but I'm having even more fun with this one..

We're a bunch of friends and all our bikes get a dose of Mecasyl (anyone know what that is?), which results in a smoother, more responsive gearbox, much less vibration and revs that surprise even the similarly-equipped sisters...
For me, on our Auvergne roads, TOP...
PS: a buddy of mine has just tried out the BM K1200 R with a bridle: I had to work really hard to keep up... let's just say it's a rider problem ;-) the other one is nuts ;-))))

An excellent bike. I tried it out and was pleasantly surprised by how peachy the twin was, even though it was clamped to the throttle... It offers a sporty feel at an affordable price and looks really nice... For those who are not afraid of a little..

i've owned this bike for a short time. i've always had sport bikes, the last one being a 2002 zx9r, then because of the radars i got a z1000 (very good bike) but i didn't have the sensations of a sport bike, but now i must say that i've got all that back and it's great. Rating : 5/5
