When Aprilia launched its first big roadster in 2022, it was with a technical and visual uppercut: the Tuono was a stripped-down, barely-calm 1000 RSV-R! Initially offered as a top-of-the-range limited series, the Tuono was soon available in a more accessible but still ebullient version. Its big, dry and powerful V2 engine provided performance and thrills. In 2011, the Tuono mutates into a V4, thanks to the recent appearance of the hypersport RSV4. More horsepower and a chassis that's as efficient as ever. 2015 marks a turning point in the Italian brand's choice of strike force. The Tuono V4 adds more displacement to the bowls and the Tuono moves up to 1100. Still accompanied by a better-equipped Factory version, the Tuono opts to become a little more road/comfort oriented from 2021, leaving the Factory with the taste of a powder keg.
