to further enhance its electronic arsenal, the RSV4 Factory APRC was initially marketed as a limited edition soberly named SE. Now, the Noale-based brand is removing the SE to supply Aprilia Ride Control Performance as standard equipment on its sporty top-of-the-range version. This Italian bombshell, with its fabulous V4 engine, benefits from the know-how and assistance of Superbike racing. The APRC package includes :

-aTC: traction control, adjustable to 8 positions, manages torque and optimizes traction. The RSV4's system is so advanced that it can be taught to act according to the tire used. The bike will react differently depending on the rubber you put on its shoes.
-aWC: anti-wheeling. Also adjustable, it allows you to make the most of the available acceleration without wasting energy on antics.
-aLC: start-up assistance for rocket-like take-offs. You put the throttle wide open, and when you're at the top, all you have to do is release the clutch and the bike will manage the optimum acceleration all by itself. Here too, there are 3 possible settings.
-aQS: Aprilia's shifter, which lets you shift gears with a flick of the boot, without releasing the right-hand grip or touching the clutch.

the bike as a whole remains the jewel we know it to be: All-Ohlins suspension, Sachs steering damper, Brembo Monobloc radial calipers, forged aluminum wheels, superb 180-hp V4 (power is not increased, but the lubrication system has been revised) with adjustable position in the chassis, and multiple injection maps. The RSV4 Factory APRC also retains the minor updates introduced with the SE, namely a much slimmer, less ugly exhaust system, a 200 mm-wide rear tire and optimized gear ratios. A price repositioning in early 2012 dropped the price to under 19,000 euros, making it incredibly tempting.
