Based on the RSV 1000 R model, the Haga Replica was sold in a limited edition of 300 units, and only 30 for France. This limited-edition model is characterized by the beautiful decoration taken from Noriyuki Haga's official Aprilia, which can be admired in World Superbikes. The magnificent Öhlins fork is encased in a superb blue fork crown with HAGA signature. It also comes with a racing kit: a 2-in-2 Akrapovic exhaust system, an Eprom for tweaking the injection mapping, and a 16-tooth sprocket. It's lighter, and its twin mufflers give it better weight distribution. Braking and cornering are also more stable.

It was presented on the Monza circuit in Italy. At first gallop, the pinion's advantage is undeniable, enhancing the twin's spontaneity. On intermediates, it's easy to hit the breaker. As agile and lively as ever, the RSV is formidable and imperious in its segues, straightening up with a flick of the wrist to expel itself with velocity at every corner exit. The usual inertia associated with twisting corners is completely forgotten with this machine. The ultra-light rims no doubt have something to do with it. Only the braking could be criticized, due to insufficient bite when gripping the lever. But let's not be more royalist than the king: for those who want to stay on the road, the Haga Replica is simply perfect.

as far as braking on this machine is concerned, it's perfect, including on the track, though with perhaps too much bite in the wet. We shouldn't be riding the same machine....
