It's been 11 years since Aprilia brought an exceptional motorcycle to life. A compact size, a 180 hp V4, a diabolically efficient chassis and a successful design characterized the 1000 RSV4.
Since then, the engine has won 21 World Superbike Championship titles, three drivers' titles and four constructors' titles.
Aprilia unveils a special series exclusively for the USA. This includes the RSV4 1000 RR and its roadster variant, the Tuono. The sports bike gains a lithium battery and a carbon front mudguard. The most distinctive touch is the racing livery, with its soft Italian accents.
The trio of colors, complemented by the big A at the bottom of the fairing, is sure to bring back memories for connoisseurs. The suit is a reference to Loris Reggiani's 1987 victory at the San Marino GP. This rider was the first to ride for the Aprilia team. The name of the deco comes from the circuit where this victory took place: "Misano". A gesture of patriotism and glory, like the coat of arms of a house.
100 copies of the RSV4 and Tuono V4 Misano Limited Edition will be sold, exclusively in the USA. The same kind of favor as for the'Summit Attack' edition of Noale's streetfighter.
In addition to the privilege of owning a piece of Italy, the Russians will be able to enjoy a hypersport that's more than formidable, with 201 horsepower under the tank, an unflappable aluminum perimeter frame, Brembo M50 calipers and a wealth of co-pilots (Up&Down shifter, traction control, anti-wheeling, cruise control, ABS cornering, Launch Control, Pit limiter, anti-stoppie and three riding modes)...
