presentation of the DB3 900 MANTRA 1998

Moving away from its usual niche of bloodthirsty sports bikes, the Italian brand has tried its hand at the roadster. Knowing Bimota's reputation, you'd expect a very special machine.

The result speaks for itself: a highly singular machine that seems to know only one word: sport! Once on board, you'll love the riding position: sufficiently forward to counter turbulence, but not too far forward to spare the spine. Piloting it, you feel the soul of a Bimota. A particularly enjoyable machine on winding roads. The bike's chassis is just as impressive: Paioli suspension, Brembo brakes, and a sturdy perimeter frame in oval-section aluminum trellis (with geometry similar to that of the old DB2s). Good torque from the mill (the twin from the Ducati 900 SS) completes the riding pleasure. Given the history of its models, Bimota wanted a different, authentic roadster. And so it is.
