presentation of the M 1000 RR M2 Edition 2026
Do you have a friend in South Africa? Take this opportunity to try to convince them to visit a BMW dealership and grab an M 1000 RR M2 Edition. The dealership in this southern country is offering a limited-edition version of the hypersport bike inspired by the M2 Edition RR—and vice versa.
Two twins that come together to take sports to the next level.
The M2 car, with its 480-horsepower twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine, and the M 1000 RR motorcycle both feature a predominantly black design, with red accents highlighting their aggressive stance. At once understated, classy, and fierce. But BMW’s most aggressive machine isn’t just about looks. It’s equipped with a whole range of features to live up to an even more distinguished pedigree.
If it were only night, the beasts would never be caught off guard. And the eye wouldn’t be able to appreciate the claws of this M 1000 RR from the 26th parallel. So let’s discover that it’s equipped with carbon rims, a smoked windscreen, an Akrapovic muffler, and M-series parts (brake and clutch levers, adjustable footpegs, and a sport seat).
A Fearsome Beast
Aside from these upgrades, the machine remains unchanged. Still a 218-horsepower cannonball, with a level of efficiency that is simply staggering.
The M 1000 RR M2 Edition is priced at 882,100 Rand, or approximately 45,600 euros. A similarly styled S 1000 RR is also available, with slightly less elaborate styling but a much more affordable price tag (almost half the cost).
For the M2 RR, it’ll be a lot—and I mean a whole lot more. But with a machine like the M 1000 RR, what would you even do with a car?!
So, is our buddy in Pretoria going to pull the trigger or not ?

Editor’s note: Movie buffs may have recognized the analogy in the title with“Mia and the White Lion,” which is also set in South Africa.
