Norton’s revival of the hypersport bike is making a lasting impression—on people’s minds, in its time, and in their memories. Dubbed the Manx R, it represents a new direction. Highly technical, streamlined, and still powered by a 1200cc V4 engine, it heralds a new era for the Indo-British manufacturer.
It also aims to be more affordable than the previous generation... in its standard version, where it falls within the same price range as its Japanese competitors.
But the Manx R knows that premium features and exclusivity build a reputation and a customer base. Above the "Apex" and "Signature" variants, here is the "First Edition," the most exclusive of Norton’s machines.
A touch of class
This limited edition allows you to choose any color in a Carbon finish and comes with additional features:
- A full Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, providing a weight reduction of 3.7 kg
- Titanium frame, engine, and fairing mounts
- Machined aluminum components: brake and clutch levers, rider foot controls and heel guards, handlebar end caps, fuel tank caps, and inspection caps
- First Edition-colored Brembo Hypure calipers
- Exclusive First Edition numbered upper triple clamp
- First Edition “Union Jack” airbrushed fuel filler side panels
- Exclusive First Edition decals
- First Edition embroidered quilted leather seat
- Exclusive First Edition start-up sequence on the headlights and instrument panel
A beautiful package that complements the multitude of features found on all other versions, namely Rotobox wheels and carbon fairings, semi-active Marzocchi suspension, Brembo Hypure brakes, an 8-inch color TFT screen, electronics throughout, and a massive 209 hp V4 with 13.3 kgm of torque.
The Norton Manx R First Edition is also the lightest in the lineup. Thanks to carbon fiber and machined aluminum parts, along with the Akra’ exhaust, the weight drops by 9 kg, bringing the bike’s total to 201 kg on the scale.
The price is available only upon request from Norton. And there, we should see a price tag similar to that of the older V4 SV models.
