For its market, BMW Nederland is offering a limited edition of the 1300 GS packed with features. With its Latin name meaning “gold,” the R 1300 GS Aurum Edition aims to be as opulent as the precious metal itself. By adding a generous helping of options from the catalog, this adventure bike becomes as much a touring machine as it is a premium model.
The BMW R 1300 GS Aurum Edition is based on the “Triple Black” style variant and combines a comprehensive standard equipment package with exclusive details unique to the Aurum Edition.
The long-distance adventure bike
Factory equipment includes the Touring, Dynamic, and Innovation packages, adaptive ride height adjustment, the Automatic Shift Assistant (ASA), a heated seat, an anti-theft alarm, a top-case mount, and gold-colored cross-spoke wheels.
In addition, the Aurum Edition stands out with specific accessories such as a black engine guard, gold radiator covers, “Option 719” footrests " footrests (including brake and gearshift levers), a tinted windscreen, and a three-piece Vario luggage set.
Features exclusive to the Aurum Edition—such as unique motifs on the motorcycle and the luggage kit, a special seat and tank cover with an Alcantara-style finish, as well as a “1 of 100” numbered plaque on the handlebars—highlight the distinctive character of this edition designed for the Netherlands.
This Aurum is essentially the successor to the R 1250 GS 40 Years GS Edition, which was also heavily equipped. Ready for endless riding, this model will be limited to 100 units, priced at approximately 10,000 euros more than the base model.
