Brough Superior is a brand in a class of its own, producing motorcycles that are all about exclusivity. With the Lawrence, the Franco-British brand has created a little gem, available here in an Ultimate version. To celebrate a new stage of engineering in the Toulouse workshops.
The point of excellence of the Lawrence Ultimate is its engine. More precisely, its manufacturing process. Brough now uses a 5-axis CNC machine to carve the crankcases from two blocks of aluminum. The result is superb, while at the same time lightening and strengthening this part of the mechanics. As far as the Lawrence is concerned, this makes no difference to the twin's power or performance, but it does make it look even more delectable.
This Brough gets the Dagger 's rims (without the gold coating), a redesigned seat, and covers the edges of the carbon tank with aluminum plating. A new finish is applied to the controls and small windscreen.
The rest is an artistic moment made up of noble materials in the service of beauty and technique: titanium frame, Fior-type fork in machined aluminum, CNC parts in every direction, Beringer brakes, forged aluminum rims, etc.... The 71,900 euros (excl. tax) asked for this motorcycle instantly stuns you, but you know why.
This top-of-the-range special series also enjoys the luxury of a very confidential distribution. Production is limited to 19 units. Its cousin, the SS100, will also be offered in an Ultimate version, with the same number of units.
19 + 19 equals... 1919, the year the brand was founded by George Brough. In the world of luxury, numbers are not chosen at random.
