Ducati loves replicas. It has for a very long time, in fact. Take the 900 MHr: it was a 900 SS that Ducati reworked to honor Mike Hailwood’s performance at the 1978 Isle of Man TT. The classic Bologna red raced across the Isle of Man, accented with a distinct Castrol green and a legend on its handlebars.

Almost half a century later and 100 years after Ducati’s founding, the fierce Diavel V4 RS 100 takes on the livery of that 900 MHr. A particularly eye-catching combination, spicy as chili and rich in emotion.

Power in multiple dimensions

Because the Diavel V4 RS Collezione 100 has plenty to stir things up:

• Visually, the styling packs an indelible punch
• Mechanically, the V4 is so powerful it can outrun many sport bikes
• Financially, the bike will break the bank; but we’ll come back to that later
• In terms of equipment, it stands out with carefully selected amenities

All while keeping in mind that the Diavel RS is already quite well-equipped, given its positioning and already intimidating power. The high-end touches are a bit of a mixed bag.

• Namely, gold rims, which give these forged aluminum Marchesini wheels a much more refined look;
• An openwork carbon cover over the STM dry clutch;
• A “Centenary Bronze” finish for the Brembo Stylema brake calipers;
• An Alcantara seat, embellished with embroidery featuring the centennial logo;
• A rear stand matching the bike’s colors;
• A machined aluminum fuel cap;
• A protective cover bearing the Collezione 100 logo;
• An identification plate engraved with the bike’s name and serial number—unlike the vast majority of bikes in the “100” collection, it is not mounted on the triple clamp but riveted to the side of the instrument cluster;
• And two numbered and signed prints of works by Nespolo.

What is that?!? Well, two artistic renderings of the Diavel and the MHr, created by Ugo Nespolo, an Italian artist. Ducati asked him to apply his talent to each of the centennial motorcycles, in order to pair each bike with a double dose of mastery.

The Diavel V4 RS 100 comes with a certificate of authenticity and is delivered in a wooden crate… A beautiful wooden crate that certainly won’t end up in the fireplace. Since Ducati started decorating them, this type of crate has also gained value.

Road Fury

This machine is a slightly custom roadster, powerful enough to uproot an oak tree. Its 182 horsepower makes it a true powerhouse, well-supported by advanced electronics, Öhlins suspension, massive brakes, and a whole host of carbon fiber parts.
To complete the look, a leather jacket and an Arai helmet (in the same style) can be part of the ensemble. Only owners will be able to get their hands on them—in exchange for an extra check to add to the hefty price tag of this very special Diavel.
