Motorcycle specifications DucatiDIAVEL 1200 AMG Special Edition 2012 The signature of a monster

at the end of 2010, Ducati announced a partnership with Mercedes(see MP news). This news was accompanied by a short video promo in which a Diavel went head-to-head with a Merco CLS 63 AMG... A sort of premonitory clip, since the Italian brand will be presenting a special series of its roadster-custom at the Frankfurt '11 motor show: the 1200 Diavel AMG Special Edition.
Produced in limited numbers, this Diavel is peppered with nods to AMG's sports department. For those who don't know, this is a specialized workshop that transforms star-spangled German sedans into monsters of power, with big V8s producing in the 500 hp range.
as you'd expect, there's no question of finding 8 cylinders in the bowels of this Diavel. Starting with the Diavel Carbon, the Bologna-based manufacturer has refined its aura of prestige. The operation is aesthetically pleasing, with an all-black livery (Diamond White Bright) in which only the trellis frame is dazzled by Mercedes grey. The radiator scoops are complemented by aluminum grilles reminiscent of the sedan grille. Superb double-spoke wheels and special exhausts are also featured. The design of all these elements is, of course, typical of AMG. The logo can be found on the pot liners, wheel rims, air intakes and upholstery. The latter is covered in alcantara.
a small detail usually seen only on the engines of prestigious cars: the left-hand crankcase is signed by the technician who carried out the engine tuning. Just so you know which gentleman tuned your 162 hp, ready to slaughter the 240 tire.
You can order this Diavel AMG Special Edition now, but you won't get it until 2012. To further distinguish himself, the owner will be pleased to know that his machine will be emblazoned with a numbered plate fixed to the tank.
