Motorcycle specifications Ducati1299 Panigale S Anniversario 2016 Technology stories

World Ducati Week 2016 was a great party as usual, with the added bonus of the presentation of a diva in a prestige dress: the 1299 Panigale S Anniversario. Gorgeous, sporty, more than seductive and already a collector's item, it celebrates the Bologna-based brand's 90th anniversary in the best possible way. More than just a Panigale with hand-picked refinements, it also inaugurates an evolution in on-board electronics.
the Panigale is coveted by so many bikers, sporty or otherwise, that it has quickly earned itself a reputation for muscle. With its ultra-powerful twin, its crazy chassis and fighter-plane electronics, and its enviable looks.
With its 90th Anniversario designation, the Ducat' is dressed in an unmistakable white and red livery, worthy of Superbike and MotoGP machines. A beautiful object par excellence, where Öhlins electronic suspensions serve performance as much as the beauty of the parts. Like any Ducati of high pedigree, it's a delight to detail, to let the eye light up the NIX30 fork tubes, the lateraltTX36 shock absorber, the fabulous Brembo M50 Evo brake calipers, and on this special edition, the forged Marchesini aluminum wheels are gold-plated. The same hue is used on the special exhaust systems supplied by Akrapovic.
Thanks to these, a few carbon parts and a lightened lithium battery, the machine loses 2,500 grams and boasts a dry weight of 164 kilos. That's just 2 kilos more than the Panigale R. The steering column also gains an insert for 5 mm adjustment.
the Superquadro engine is unchanged, and its 205 hp are still very powerful. Big watts for experienced riders. The 90th Anniversary Panigale introduces an improved traction control system, DTC Evo. Thanks to new algorithms, the electronics work more precisely. It allows the rider to push the limits a little further, acts on the intake butterflies in addition to ignition timing and fuel injection, and allows the rear wheel more freedom of glide at Level 1 than ever before.
500 units of this 1299 Panigale S 90th Anniversary will be produced, each bearing a serial number on the open-work fork crown. To pay the bill, of course, you'll have to accept the indecent price tag that befits all exceptional Italian sports bikes. Expect to pay 30,000 euros to take it home.
