presentation of the 1100 Panigale V4 S 25° Anniversario 916 2019
Is there a more famous Ducati than the 916? In fact, it's more than just a motorcycle. Like the Honda CB 750, the Norton Manx, the Triumph Bonneville, the Suzuki GSX-R... it's one of those timeless icons, forever etched in the history of motorized two-wheelers.
This Superbike first appeared 25 years ago, and it's this anniversary that the Panigale V4 celebrates with this special 25° Anniversario edition. This limited production run of 500 units will be snapped up by many enthusiasts.
the Panigale needed a sponsor to live up to its reputation and to pay tribute to it. Carl Fogarty, four-time Superbike world champion aboard the same 916, was chosen as the patron. This Panigale, like the 996 SPS Fogarty Replica and Monster S4 Foggy in their day, shows his special affection for the "King". The same eye-shaped sticker can be found at the base of the bubble. The "916 - 25° Anniversario" is based on the Panigale V4 S, with its semi-active Öhlins suspension. It has been up-graded with racing components from the Panigale V4 R, such as the front frame, designed to Ducati Corse specifications. The look of the bike combines a special livery with magnesium wheels, an Akrapovi? approved titanium exhaust, a dry clutch with openwork housing, updated electronic assistances (Shifter EVO 2 and Ducati Traction Control EVO 2) and a long list of Ducati Performance components. With these improvements, the bike loses a kilo on the scales. As for the price, which is resolutely stifling, it manages to be higher than that of the V4 R.
