presentation of the 1100 Streetfighter V4 prototype 2019
Ducati has chosen a baptism of fire to christen its new Streetfighter V4, even before it goes on sale. This hyper-roadster won't hit the market until 2020, and won't be shown in its definitive livery until the EICMA in November... And yet, it's already set to make a splash at one of the most charismatic competitions in the USA. This Streetfighter V4 prototype takes on Pikes Peak.
What an entrance! The VERY sporty roadster from Bologna will take over from the Multistrada (multiple winner of the event) to conquer the peaks and try to put all other roadsters to the sword. It can provoke, it has what it takes to make big shots of adrenalin and sensations. The company has unveiled a Panigale V4 S to respond with majesty to the most seasoned of riders.
The scarred cladding doesn't really capture the design of this roadster (although it's supposed to "exalt" it), but it does reveal a minimalist yet aggressive forkhead, two pairs of winglets on the flanks, and an extraordinary concentration of testosterone.

An Akrapovic dual exhaust system will make the V4 roar in the Colorado mountains. The climb promises to be tough, and the media return razor-sharp.
Just like its chassis. We can trust Ducat' to give this beast what it takes to give the sport a run for its money. All the elements of a sports bike are there: monobars, semi-open frame with aluminum spars, Öhlins suspension components, Brembo brakes with radial-mount monobloc calipers, lightened rims. Not to mention a high level of electronic equipment - unspecified, but inseparable from the technological side of the brand and the category.
The 1100 Streetfighter V4 prototype will set off on its first challenge on June 30 - Dans la Course aux nuages at the end of the month, in dealerships by mid-March 2020. For a much tougher price than its predecessor, the 1098 S.
