With its 147-strong twin, the Monster has plenty of trunk to spare. Not as much as the segment's big streetfighters, but enough to accelerate emotions and heart rates beyond reason. The S is synonymous with great equipment (adjustable Öhlins suspension throughout, Brembo M50 brakes with 330 mm discs, carbon front mudguards, daytime running lights, up&down shifter); the machine is symptomatic of first-rate engineering. Minimalist tubular steel trellis frame contrasts with abundant electronics. From one end of the bike to the other, you'll find no less than a dashboard with TFT color display, an IMU inertial unit, curve-active ABS, traction control, three riding modes, anti-wheeling and three power modes.
