If I say "Italian haute couture", do you immediately think of MV-Agusta or Ducati? Those who think Gucci or Versace, out! At Schiranna, as in Bologna, we like to surround ourselves with prestigious partners. This time, we're associating the XDiavel with a high-end brand. This powerful cruiser shares its emotion with premium furnishings specialist Poltrona Frau.

No extravagance when it comes to the name; it's simply called Nera. Xdiavel Nera. The wedding with the Tolentino furniture manufacturer is mainly tied up with a high-quality saddle. A perfect seat for Vin Diesel - it's studded with laser-engraved Xs. But also a demonstration of Poltrona Frau's expertise. The leather used is a Pelle Frau specification, a skin-working process specific to the company. Five colors will be offered to embellish the machine.

A comfort saddle for the passenger benefits from the same treatment. Owners will also receive a keyring and briefcase made from the same coloured leather as chosen for their XDiavel Nera. As an accessory, Ducati has provided a dedicated jet helmet. Still, they could have given it away, given the slap in the face prices asked for this limited edition.

How many will be available? 500, no more. Identification in the series is on a plate on one of the frame tubes, between the fuel tank and the engine V. On the other side, you can see the number of the bike. On the other side, you can see one of the refinements designed specifically for this Ducat: red-painted cylinder-head covers. The Brembo M50 brake calipers also get the same crimson treatment.
The XDiavel Nera has the good fortune to give a little more, with lightened and machined forged wheels, a "Black on Black" color scheme alternating matte and gloss black, and a special animation when the color TFT instrument panel is switched on.

This is not the first time Ducat' and Poltrona Frau have worked together. One had already called on the other for the Scrambler 1100 Club Italia. A much more special edition, with only 80 units planned. What's more, you had to be a member of the club to buy it.

there are no technical changes to report. This XDiavel is identical to the others, with its impressive 1262 cm3 twin with variable valve timing. It boasts 160 hp at 9,500 rpm and 13 mkg at just 5,000 rpm. The inverted fork (50 mm) and rear tire (240 mm) are simply enormous. Electronics are also well represented, with an inertial unit, traction control, cornering ABS, several Driving Modes, cruise control, stop-start assistant, hands-free system, daytime signature, in-house multimedia system and backlit controls.

The XDiavel Nera may be a lot of noise for a top-quality seat, a two-tone black paint job and a lick of paint on some great brake calipers. And just as well, the engine, power and price make a lot of noise too.
